I have no idea about the Nova ones. Neither appears to be certified for BR. OEM has a lot of them that cover that range though for $70-$100 though.

Please add me to the "seriously interested" list for now.

These sound like the best I've seen so far. I need them before I get tempted to turn on this new (somewhere between 30-100 mw) green laser again. I'm dangerous! ;D

Seriously though, my 9 year old son is extemely interested in lasers too and I need something I can be sure will protect his eyes, before I dare let him know I even have a laser. I can't put a price on his vision. So let me ask to make sure I've got this straight: The ML-7's have the highest protection at the Green and IR wavelengths, and the lowest protection at the Red?

One other question, If any members with kids would care to respond I'd appreciate it - Would you want higher protection than these offer, even if you had to get a separate pair for green/ir and one specifically for red? Or would you feel safe letting your 9year old stare at the SPOT of a 200mw RED laser, while it's burning something, with these? As far as the green goes, he would only see the spot at a good distance.

Either way I will be sure to give a decision by Aug. 18th.

Welcome to the forum,
I have added you to the list.
These do indeed provide the highest protection in the 532-range, and less protecion in the "red-range". While not yet specifically certified for 405nM yet, they do provide significant-protection for the BR also, according to the chart.
BTW, the pair I am purchasing will be protecting my 12-yo daughters eyes, when we are "experimenting" with the lasers, I am not however qaulified in any way, other than to refer to thier certification. I have not personally evaulated these goggles.
