is it really important if people are on the list? some people that were said they weren't going to buy any so it should be fine if new people buy them right?

I would prefer people to post in the thread prior to paying, so I can more easily keep track of things.

once uncleworm pays you should go ahead and order, just get a few extra for the peoples that haven't paid yet, I'm sure you'll be able to sell them to others if they don't want them. (such as myself, I'll buy them if they don't)

These diodes are <275mW, and in my experience they've always been between 230 and 250mW (without overpowering which shortens the lifetime).

Not so much. This is what they look like:

Left is RED

I had to mount it in a vise with one corner and bend the opposite corner away from the diode legs with a strong pliers. Repeat for every corner until the slit around the diode base is large enough it either falls out by itself or will fit a knife blade (in case the glue leaked to the front of the base). I also mounted it in the vise with one long side and twisted the whole thing with a pliers. I don't know which approach was more effective or if they were both needed.

The IR diode was even more difficult to extract and I could only get it out it with a saw.

This is the fucker I pulled from it.

first off, check jayrobs thread. Using the jayrob heatsink, I, jayrob, and others HAVE achieved 300mW with these.

The LG 18x and 20x DO contain the same diode. We know what we are talking about.

420mA in a proper heatsink (jayrob) is actually a sweetspot, not an overclock.

The red diode pops out if you konw what ur doin. bout the same as a PHR-803T.

The IR is a BITCH to get out.

if you want to advertise something (by show people OMG ITS SO HARD) then telling people that you will harvest, please do it elsewhere. TheMonk sells these things harvested already, so if yo want to shit all over his thing, go talk to him first. not to jump at you but what you are doing is rude.

I agree, you should encourage people to try it themselves. It can be challenge, but its not very difficult. My first and only 2 sled extractions went great. you just need to go slow.
