I don't.  but I've got the manufacturer doing an emergency run as we speak.
instead of paying a ton of money for the anodizer to do this batch, I'm doing it myself with a home kit.
what kit?

Well, here's what it comes down to.  Even with some aggressive trading and upgrading from a few people, I'm still short on barrels.  I've asked the manufacturer to make me a emergency run of barrels so that I can fill the remaining orders.  those that ordered last, will sadly have to wait a little while.

I ordered at the beginning of May, and I see Im one of the last on the list.  Does that mean I was one of the last to order barrels?  I seem to remember a lot of orders coming in after mine.

Well, I just finished reading, and so it looks like I'm going to have to wait. If you are going to anodize mine yourself, any chance of me talking you into going over the barrels w/ some very fine sand paper first.. smooth out some of the deeper machining marks?

The emergency run are all going to be polished first.  I am not going to have any more of those scratches visible.

OK this is important.  To those that have not installed your diode into your pocket, follow these steps.  I've had a few people ruining thier barrel head by trying to press the diode into the pocket.

YOU HAVE TO BEVEL THE POCKET.

THEN ONCE YOU'VE BEVELED THE EDGE INSERT A DEAD DIODE!  This will shape the diode pocket to the diode without damaging the diode.  Remove dead diode and then insert the good one.

I will post this in the first post as well.

use a razor blade to cut the edge down, or go to a local machine shop and ask to borrow a deburring tool.  the deburring tool will cut a bevel in seconds.

You could probably also use a countersink in a drill to cut a bevel.

using a drill bit, sized much larger than what fits the hole, will work too.

Assembly tip #2

DSC00125-1.jpg

use one of the spare aperture cap tops and glue it to the spring so that the spring does not connect with the side of the inside barrel.

can't remember who came up with it but someone else did so i can't take credit.

Assembly tip #3. Cut the spring to about 1/4 inch above the top of the tailcap. As the spring is default on the clicky it's too long. it ends up bending when you put it on with batteries in it and it shorts to the side of the barrel. Cut off the section, bend the end down that you cut, and you'll have no issues. If the clicky doesn't function, you can purchase others at DX.

Kenom! Mine looks like it has already been beveled! It looks just like your picture except it looks smoother.

And the aperture cap tip was from Thegr8revealing.

They come with a very tiny bevel but it's nowhere near big enough. Essentially the purpose of the bevel is to allow the diode to sit level with the diode pocket. If for one reason or another the diode is sideways when you press it in, it is possible it will stay sideways.

Are you going to start providing them with the bevel?

I haven't really been fallowing this post. I my be interested in two or more matte black barrels. Are you backed up from all the orders?

This is the one that comes with the flex drive right?

Re: Laser Barrels V2. GB. Second run. Kryton Groov

I found a really nice case for the Kryton Groove, if anyone is interested.

It's a unique looking aluminum case with a felt lining intended for Oakley Torpedo sunglasses. I found one on eBay several weeks ago for about $10 shipped. It is sized just right to fit a Kryton groove barrel.
