lol, blue, everyone wants a lavadrive...
Kenom is working on the GC for a lavadrive option on his website. other than that, you will have to read a couple pages back, or wait for kenom himself to tell you how.

Ordered 1 and paid. BTW, When should I expect my run 1 barrel? And what else do I have to get from the hardware store to make it work correctly? Are changes made to the 2nd run barrels to fix those "DIY" additions?

As stated elswhere, The Kryton head is a tight fit for a diode. be sure to bevel the lip of the hole before attempting to press it. There is some variance in LD's and the hole may have to be scraped a bit for the specific diode used.
Because there are differences, Kenom made it "adjustable" ;D

run 1 will be completed when I get the drivers from bluefusion. he's almost done with them the last time I inquired.
as far as what you need at the hardware store for run 1 if you didn't buy the snap ring or aperture cap from me then your going to look for a 1/4" hinged screw cover, and a 11/16" snap ring for inside diameter fitting. that's it!
All of these things will come with run 2 no extra cost.

Hemlock mike was good enough to give me a preview of what the fins might look like on the head of these barrels. so I figured I would share with you all how nice a job he did and to give you an idea. Mike's assessment that there's not enough room on the head for 4 fins is accurate and we're going to change the design to go to 3 fins.
Mike will be also turning one out with three fins hopefully soon and we'll get to see the difference.

Thanks mike! Stylistically, I prefer it to have a thicker final fin, as in the sketches in the first post, but it looks decent. There is also the option of lengthening the head by a fin to fit 4.
