Re: NEW THREAD--JETLASERS GB #4 Feeler

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmkay

JETL is good but........ 500mW??? if that ever happens you had better have deep pockets.

As safety is paramount I am intentionally double posting the following copypasta from BatteryJunction-- Important info regarding inherient danger with some rechargeable batteries. I charge mine out on the carport.

quote:
No express or implied guarantee of compatability with any device can be made. Please do your research and make sure that this battery is compatable with the item you intend to use with. For SureFire and other brands of incandescent(halogen, krypton, xenon, etc) flashlights we do not recommend these batteries unless you're using them in a manner consistent with the voltage requirements of your lamp. Charge only in a smart charger designed for 3.6V Lithium Ion batteries. Do not mix and match old and new, used and unused batteries. Do not dispose in a fire. Use special caution when working with Li-ion cells, they are very sensitive to charging characteristics and may explode or burn if mishandled. Make sure the user has enough knowledge of Li-Ion rechargeable batteries in charging, discharging and assembly before use. Always charge in/on a fire-proof surface. Never leave charging batteries unattended. We are not responsible for damage if there is any modification of the batteries/chargers in any form or shape (including pack making). We are not responsible for any damage caused by misuse or mishandling of Li-Ion batteries and chargers. We only recommend using Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries with a control circuit (protection PCB) to assure safe charge, discharge, etc, use of lithium ion batteries with a protection circuit is potentially hazardous.

be careful

I may have the wrong exact wavelength, but i was sure there was a 500mW red available by JL

I also saw the 500mW 635 PL-C provided by JETLASERS
Jetlasers - 200mw to 500mw 635nm Laser Pointers, blue laser 445nm, 1w 445nm blue laser pointers, portable red laser blue 500mw, 200mw 635nm red lasers

I read "Customizable Upon Request" - is a 1.5Mrad beam diameter/divergence possible with correction optics?

dang!! dont know how I missed that, but I do know it was not on the GB list for the first three GB's. Maybe it was not ready to sell or was too expensive to make and than sell at a GB price. Fingers Crossed for seeing on the list for GB#4

TY for the link

Yea, I'm looking at either the 635nm or the 650nm. I have a void in my red section and was looking for a decent high power red to start it off. I've seen some nice 635 beam shots, but I'm wondering if anyone that has one can tell me if it looks more like a very bright red or more red-orange in person?

If those prices are way out there, I may just go with the 405nm 800mW lol

Re: NEW THREAD--JETLASERS GB #4 Feeler

Hey JackGT,
Sorry that we could not get a 300mw in the ti laser pen. Even 250mw is kinda difficult. :). Yes, they're ir filtered.

We might go ahead with lowered power version such as 100mw or 150mw, surely at a better pricing for GBs.

Hi Gray, I got your Ti-pen 532nm from GB#3, and it peaks at 235mw. I am very happy with this product for star gazing. It produce a constant ~200 for 30 secs, very powerful. It suits my taste as it tends to be rugged when out in the fields, I like the titanium design very much. Momentary button is great for me to do on site discussions. Hope a water resistant version will come out soon. *hint hint ;)

Now I need another green laser that is low powered for construction use / room presentation. My Ti-pen will blind people when i am doing a powerpoint room presentation! I am thinking of ~50mw.

I am interested in a 50 Ti-pen 532, do you have this one under this group buy? If so, I would like to be part of this GB#4.

I understand your point, but I owned a Core series from Wicked Lasers fyi, and I need something brighter than 5mw. :)

5mw ain't cut it for construction use. I need. During indoors in the day, I need something more prominent than my 5mw.

I understand that, but if you want to do a presentation with live human beings, you NEED to not go above 5mW.

Unless of course you would like to worsen their eyesight and potentially blind them

Ok then I shall bring 2 lasers with me. my cores series for presentation, and I need a true 50mw for on-site usage during day time.

No harm done, you do as you please, I was just trying to inform you that above 5mW for a room full of people indoors is a no-go
