Well I really don't know what to suggest...I am certain the module is glued in. :'( Perhaps Chimo can shed some light on it.

I already told Greg if anything happened to mine I would take it apart and mod it. It looks easy enough to get apart to fix but this would void the warranty, and I am not sure if the focus problem would be covered by the warranty.

So the only option you may have if you want to be able to focus is to take it apart and glue the module in with something. But if you do just make sure to use some kind of glue so you will be able to remove the module in the future. Sorry but I don't know what else to suggest other than to contact Greg and ask him what he thinks.

If you want to be able to re-focus the laser, the outer barrel should turn. They set the focus and then add a dab of glue to hold it in place. The glue is stuck to your lens assembly so it is turning with it. No problem. How far are you turning it and roughly how far it it focussed out now? For me, going from about 1 foot focus to abut 16 feet took about a 1/4 turn.

Just make sure you do not bust that little golden FRAGILE seal around the middle part while messing with the focusing ! If you cannot get it to focus properly, and wish to send it to me for repairs, I will cover return shipping to you - just let me know !

I know what you mean...it took me forever to get mine back to where it was after I focused it, even though I marked it! I think I will leave it alone for the time being..

Mine as well, after a good nights sleep.
Sometimes you just have to back away from something and try again later. But what PITA it was, and I as well had it marked.

I just lit a match at 14 feet with my "broken" one.  :)

I HOPE you realize that there is an extra charge for unabridled glee such as that.....hehehehehehe !

Glad they are working out so well for everyone ! As an FYI - the broken ones have been sent back, and once my finances are in order, I.E. Once google deposits the funds in my account, I will be placing the order for hte extras that folks want - so get your orders in now - leave word in this thread, or PM me with your email addy, and first and last names, and country of residence - and I will send you out a Google Invoice for the Sentorch. ;)

I just read through the whole thread, and WOW...

I can really understand why you are just trying to get rid of all these Sentorches. this has been a living nightmare for ya, it must've really sucked. it's a good thing that things are a little slower for ya, but hopefully you'll get rid of them all soon :)

A lot of hassle for Greg that's for sure but the laser itself is amazing and I'm glad it's in my hands right now, all I can say is that "the best comes to those who wait" :p :p
