hello guys, first of all sorry for question in this section, but actually my question is relative with GB..
you make GB for PHR-803T**LPC-815**GBW-H10N*   SLEDS.... everything is from china.. from chinnes sellers.. we use this sleds like source for our diode's but, have anybody from yours ever asked them {sellers} only for bare diodes????
i am just curious about it...
can anybody explaint it for me why is it like this???? why we can get only sleds and not just bare diodes????

thank you very much and once again sorry

Probably because the suppliers they use only have the sleds, to get teh diodes you would have to get back to teh manufacturer of the diodes, and they probably won't sell in as small quantities as we can afford.

If i'm wrong, i'm sure somebody will come along to correct me shortly.

It all comes down to the reason that the diodes are expencive. The sleds are mass produced so much that a single sled comes out to cost less than a single diode. And for the sake of what the lasers are mostly made for, people have less use for a diode over a sled, so frogger is right. The suppliers that have the sleds have no reason to carry diodes.

On top of what frogger said, bare diodes are also a lot more expensive. Since the diodes are normally produced to be incorporated within the sled, asking for just the diode may seem like it would cost less; but in reality it cost more.

really weird
but nevermind.. who care about it... i was just curious and on the other hand a little bit sad that we waste whole sleds only because of the smallest part on it - diode... :-[ :-/ :-/

Can be fun to use the optics and the sled material burns dramatically too!

yes you are right i have seen on some pictures there is really lot of optics... could be fine to play with it...
all righy, never ever worries about sleds... it is great that we are able to get diodes quite cheap doesnt matter what is the source.. ;) ;)
cheers
