MOAR UPDATES:
Supplier says these come from the GBW-H10N 4x drives, yet they are the same sleds used in the 6x drives.

Well, I know I said there was going to be a replacement for the 803T but I didn't expect it to be the 6x diodes! ;D I will take just 1 for now and see how things go down.

The GBW-H10N is "blu-ray". The GGW-H20L is "multi-format" (BR & HD DVD). The H10N came out first. That's the real reason it was/is more expensive. Part of the big fanfare about the H20L was that they had been able to reduced the price significantly over the H10N I do not believe there was a new diode developed between the H10N and the H20L. It was only the price of <$300 that really allowed us to begin experimentation. No one before that was willing to spend >?$700 for a diode.

I'm actually trying to sublet an apartment in Santa Barbara right now. If you know anyone interested for real, let me know.
Calculating funds today after I go through and pay all the bills to see if I'm in, but I can't do all the bill paying until after class today. Let you know tonight or tomorrow hopefully.
