Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

25 PAIR HIT!

I will get payment instructions posted either tonight or tomorrow. I'm giving about 2-3 weeks for payments to come in (I know some of us need our next paycheck for these)

Anyone not on the list is more than welcome to get added! The more the merrier!

Nice. Crossing my fingers that we don't have to run out the whole 3 weeks... Hoping to have my pair by the time I visit home for break, so I can actually show my laser to my brother.

I understand some people have financial constraints though, so I'll hope, but not complain if it doesn't work out :)

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

I wanna post about this in the "$5 off radiant shades" thread... but I feel like that would be sort of... rude to the OP.

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

I assume payment will be cost of goggles - 25% + shipping, plus paypals cut of 2.9999999% too much correct?

so in my case its $119+80.5 = 199.50 - 25% = 149.65 (rounded up), +$15-$20 postage = 169.65 + 3% paypal's cut = 174.70 (assuming $20 postage)

correct?

I will also be testing my goggles and putting up some utube videos once I get a power meter from Jerry. (I am the right candidate to do it, as I can test the goggle's right visor as I have no sight in that eye).

Lets put them up against 1w of green, 1.2w of 445 and 1W of 637 3mm spot size <2mrad lasers :)

This is correct, but I will get the postage calculated and I'll add prices on the OP today.

Well, people seeking out Radiant Shades want goggles in that price range, so usually they won't be interested in these more expensive--even if better--goggles. That statement isn't meant to be a cut to Radiant Shades, as I think they do their own tests on the goggles, but many people just can't fathom paying more than their lasers for their goggles and sight.

On another note...

I am so looking forward to getting these goggles. It just sucks using ML7 goggles for working with red lasers. They're so hard to see through, and they don't even afford very good protection against that wavelength so I have to keep the lasers powered down to low levels. Soon I'll be covered for every wavelength I'll encounter in high powers, at least by the time the next goggle GB.

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

OKAY, I'm posting the pricing listing on the OP.

There are just a couple options I need to know from everyone but pricing is pretty static..

So the options I need to know:
Priority Mail Domestic = $11.35 flat rate. With tracking is $12.10
First Class varies in how many goggles and how far away, but I calculated price to New York from Utah for 2 or less pair in one package to be about $10 (including a non flat rate box). With Tracking is about $11.
International will go First Class, including a box is about $13. So I'll just "Flat Rate" International shipping.

The prices will be posted in the next 5 - 10 minutes

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

Is Priority mail international better than first class? I got a laser head that way and could track it all the way to sydney. of course DHL / Fedex is better, but they cost as much as the glasses :p

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

EDIT 2:
Looks like the goggles are definitely not getting shipped 'til almost April, so that answers my location dilemma. Alright, sending a PM then.

So my mail choice has sort of a variable involved: I assume priority mail is more expensive due to speed. If the goggles can arrive in Portland, OR before the end of March, I'll go for that. If they're going to be arriving in April regardless, whatever is the cheap mail option is fine with me.

I guess that won't really be known until more payments start coming in but I guess I can at least ask whether shipping to Portland is the same $10-12 quoted in the earlier post.

Edit:
To clarify, I'm not holding off on payment just to save a few bucks -- I'm only in Portland for the last week of March, so if the goggles are gonna be later than that, I'll be providing a different address as well. If you want to keep track of two conditional shipping addresses (and the difference between the two mailing methods ends up < a few bucks), let me know and I'll just pay for the fast one.

Re: GB oemlasersystems goggles

I have a feeling they will be arriving early april. Some of us are waiting on paychecks to order these goggles. I too will happily pay extra for priority mail international (the faster shipping)

Yeah, that seemed likely... but on the off chance things turn out quicker, might as well have a plan to avoid having to watch the my goggles on tracking, bypassing the city I'm in, lol.

Like I said in an earlier post though - I understand people have their own constraints, not gonna count on a march arrival, or get upset if I can't show my laser over break. :)

On that note, how long is shipping estimated to take, once sent out? Might as well know when I'm definitively past that march delivery point. :p

Ah, alright, must not have noticed the exact date. Well, I'll edit my earlier post accordingly.

Most likely shipping early April. Priority is no more than $5 more than first class. With Priority Mail flat rate I can just use the free usps boxes, otherwise, I have to buy a box which is usually about $2. Speed wise, Priority isn't much faster to states near Utah, but much faster when a little further out. I would personally have it sent Priority if someone else were running it... but that's just me. :)

The cheapest Priority Intl to Australia is about $34 according to usps.com... if you want to pay that much, I won't argue, but I haven't had any problems with First Class Intl. Not sure how fast it is to Australia.
