No I highly doubt a retailer makes them. And sorry but I guess this is better than making a new thread for such a small question.

I don't know Viasho would make sense. We haven't seen any non Opto Viasho's have we?

a CLONE. have you ever seen a "true" leadlight (i dont know if people have...i havent though..) there are only "clones". Im not saying it is a viasho "RPL" im saying it is a clone of the "rpl". Plus viasho makes everything :D

SORRY jayrob! (although i dont think this thread was very active before samsomiler bumped it...)

No problem...

This thread is dead and closed, but I guess it still has good information on the O-like Green lasers.

I don't know who the manufacture is, but I can tell you that it is much different than an RPL.

The RPL is a C-mount diode and has a built-in protection circuit. Larger too. Supposed to be a really long lasting diode per the Optotronics site...
"Powerful 2.5 Watt n-LIGHT IR diode (encased in copper to improve heat transfer) ; n-LIGHT high reliability IR diode: 80,000 hours MTTF with BriteLife™ Technology "

And of course the adjustalbe tail cap is trick too! The new ones have 15 positions. Although I only use two on mine. The lowest setting for warm-up, and the highest setting for max power...

Anyway, I'm no expert on DPSS, but I know that there is a lot more to it than just the pump diode. Crystal quality, alignment, and so forth...

On the other hand, the O-like laser will put out a lot of green for the price!

Ahhh i see what you're saying Muffin, that's what I guess I was thinking but not saying.

Anyways Jayrob my friend wants to get one of their 500mw Greens, I told him why not just go for a weaker RPL and have a longer duty cycle and warranty. Oh well he wants o-likes, I'll take some pics with him and give impressions

Ok. You get what you pay for. If you need a laser for cheap o-like would be the place to go. If you have some extra money, go for a RPL. I am just saying that it is a similar design to Viasho's PGL's.
