Is really very Bright!

No offence eytyxhs, but please don't contribute inaccurate information to our thread. To my knowledge, you weren't part of this groupbuy, and I'm not sure what laser you have purchased.

I won't comment on the "unstable" portion of your post, since I haven't seen any reports of instability, but it's always possible so I won't discount it either. However, for you to say that this laser isn't focusable tells me that you've either ordered something other than what we're ordering here, or you don't have any knowledge of whatever laser is in front of you (or both).

The fact is, this laser IS focusable. If you had been part of these threads from the beginning (or read up on it before posting), you would realize that adjusting the focus was one of the things we tried in order to see if we could adjust the beam specs.

It was nice of you to contribute your two-line review, but half of it was blatantly incorrect. If you want to properly review a laser, I would always encourage that. But to jump in on a thread with a 15 word "review" that reads more like a "na na na, I own this laser before you guys, look at me", and is incorrect in one of its basic factual elements, presents as (IMO) obnoxious.

Follow-up Note - Full Disclosure:

After I sent DD the list of groupbuy email addresses, they sent me a gift card as a thank-you for $10.

I didn't know that they were going to do this ahead of time, and it wasn't part of any plan or anything that was discussed. They just did it.

WHAT?! I am outraged! I feel duped!

 just kidding. I dont think you would try to pull the wool over anyone's eyes for any price especially a measly $10 even if you knew it was coming from the start

I was wondering why he chimed in and said his unit had arrived when I just got my DD email this morning

Seems pretty simple for a GB purchase, Thanks for heading this rhd.

@eytyxhs, listen to rhd's advice.

Man you guys wake up early!

They sent me 3 codes. Gonna Use mine, then have a friend come over and use his, and sent the 3rd to another friend. Should all be used today.

Now I need to pickup a couple tripods and some defraction gratings.

One thing we should also keep in mind is that we may very well get hand picked units...maybe. It would be smart of DD to send us out the best units they have since they are obviously trying to win us true laser enthusiasts over. The group buy just makes it easy because they know we are all from LPF vs when any of us just makes an order as an individual.

EDIT: Coupon code is not working for me. When I get to paypal it says $176 even though the total on the previous screen after the discount shows $148.99. I tried in both chrome and firefox

EDIT2: Got it to work. In case anyone else runs into trouble checking out make sure you are logged in and click secure checkout and not paypal. In the end you can still pay with paypal but if you click it right away the discounts dont apply for some reason.

Mine worked normally with PayPal, the discount just doesn't show up until you get to the very last screen where you click to pay.

I logged into paypal and got to the screen where you click to pay and it still showed full price. Maybe my code was just screwy.

If you click pay from that screen, it takes you back to dino direct for the final "click to pay" button. It will show the correct price there.

Although I still haven't gotten an email from PayPal about paying, and usually its automatic. It *is* showing in my paypal account info, so no worries I guess.

I've had that happen a few times, not sure why though. It happens more with purchases for me. When I send money through PP its almost an instant notification email.
