It seems weird that DD is doing the group buy this way. In reality if they just posted a special coupon for this laser on LPF I am sure more than 10 people would buy one.

300mW of 532nm IR filtered for under $150 shipped with a guaranteed output....no brainer

Heh, would if I could. But I'm outta friends that are willing to spend $150 for a laser. Some people just don't know a good deal when they see it in guess... :p

I suppose it has to do with the chronology of how this came about. IE, us all criticizing their first GB attempt. Myself doing so vocally. Them asking me to help them do it better.

Just ordered mine, with complementary piece of string, which I thoroughly look forward to use to test the power of the laser :)

Checkout was a little weird. Put it in your basket and hit pay by paypal and the price went to 176. Went through "secure checkout" and then entered my shipping info, and only then the paypal checkout, and then it was the correct price of 150.

Order placed!

no :( u just crushed my dreams.... i was about to even buy the 500mW but if u say its unstable i dont want it :(

I haven't seen any reveiws of them being really unstable, most seem good. The main the about these is the divergence. I'm still looking forward to mine, it's still a lot of green :cool:
