Have you given any thought to putting a 2 or 3 stage TEC in a host with one of these? You could make em pretty chilly with just one 2 stageI. Obviously though you would need decent heatsinking and maybe a fan for the hot side, but that would just make the build more fun

Thanks styro, i always thought if you oversrove them it would blueshift? Also i was thinking like 150ma, any ideas for a driver?i was thinking of going cheap chibese but i kind of dont want to waste this diode if it doesnt work...

They will redshift with more current! And as for TECs...unfortunately it would probably be a waste of effort. The green and blue laser diodes wavelength shift very little with temperature...in fact dropping one of these in liquid nitrogen would likely only make it ~4nm more blue!

I'd just have the GB organizer send a list of the buyers to me,
and then the buyers can go on my website and purchase a "shipping" option (essentially just to pay for US postage)
Since I have all the postage material, as well as small crush proof containers to pack fragile items in.
and I could send out items from there.

.....and if you wanted to pick up any other items while for your build you're there....

I think styro might be doing the US orders, but if not, that would be a great alternative. But I am not the one to decide. Maybe talk to him and the joker?

Yeah I like this idea, as long as you are willing to press the diodes into modules for those that requested it! I can send you 3.8mm modules if you don't have any.

I dont think you ever confirmed it, but will those of us who want lenses be getting lenses?

Maybe I missed it but is there a pay by date? This has gone on for awhile now and i don't think payment stage should take more than a week at most. No fun when people start asking if the rest of us can wait forever when they already knew they had to have the $ ready and dont. It takes the life out of a GB when that happens.

So it turns out I don't think this Laser is a good fit for me. I had not really come here for a high powered burning laser. I am more into just the unique colors. I also happen to live 8 miles from an airport. This means that I cannot use it outdoors. I also have an 18 month old daughter, therefore I will not be using it indoors either. At this point it seems like I really just don't need to own this device.

What I would like to offer is a trade. I would like to trade for one of the Osram 30 mw 515nw Diodes GB on 515 nm laser diodes? in a module with a driver that can run it at 5mw. I'll supply my own host and battery.

You get this laser, module, driver, host, battery, case. (no lens)
I get 30mw Osram 515mw with Driver set for 5mw (should be ~60ma) in module with a lens (thanks)
