pack should be here in any day now. It is in Europe now :)

Also got something interesting ... a 1W rated 9mm 405nm diode ... I got some specs of it. And will have a price tomorrow. We might sell it seperately after this GB is over ( next week ).

Interested that's for sure. I would assume it's multimode, but can't think of what applications a 1W multimode 405 laser diode would be used for.

Off topic...but has anybody tried pumping a ruby rod with a 405nm laser? I know ruby has strong absorption bands in that region, but I haven't looked into the implications of pumping it CW. Would be interesting nonetheless...

not sure what the pump was, but CW ruby lasers were made. if i remember correctly they had outputs in the 100mW region, and were working on 500mW outputs, so nothing to write home about in terms of power. but they got divergences that are just insane, like no noticeable divergence after 100 feet.

No mention on divergence, it does however have a very long coherence length. Perhaps that's what you were thinking of?

I dont know if i over or under paid.

Let me know what you guys decide.
If they get sent to me, I'd probably have joker include a list of what goes to who,and then people who have a package coming to them will go onto my website and buy a "group buy" item for $0.00 and checkout so you can pay for the shipping, and give me your shipping address.

I have the mailing supplies, and I have small crush proof containers if needed for the diodes.

Please ship my diode to Moe

@Moe - I'll have DTR send a module your way. Would you mount this diode and solder leads for me? Otherwise I could check into doing exactly the opposite. Have you mail it to DTR to have him mount it and solder the wires. Either or. This will be paid for 8/14/2015. That date as well I can pay you for shipping to me. Would this work for you?

If it's just as fast ship my stuff direct. In other words whatever gets my stuff to me faster;)
I suspect that people who don't need any additional service would just want their stuff shipped without it needing to change hands and pay a second time for shipping unless it's still going to be faster to ship it all to Moh.

Agreed, unless someone has a 3.8 module availible id just go with the fastest option
