May I remind you that these are gold plated copper sinks and not SOLID gold sinks :D
I wish the manufacturer made a mistake in the material but I doubt it ! :p

Picky, picky, picky.

I'm just using Chinese accuracy. Gold plated, solid gold, what's the difference?

:D

P.S. LeQuack is the mastermind behind the PCB's. I catch the occasional mistake and make the occasional suggestion, but he is the mastermind behind the driver. I'm just using this opportunity to learn as much as possible. We are still VERY much in the early stages of testing. Those are revision 2 boards, and I'll be surprised if there isn't a revision 3.

It can't be copper, copper is brass - remember? I learned that from the module group buy!

Guys, is 10 replacements enough you think?

Let me know thanks, I really don't want to lose any more money then nesessary

I'm ordering 10, it's really too expensive for me considering the losses, do you guys know 80% of the shipments I sent, I underpriced, they pretty much ALL ended up above 100g doubling or tripling the price, I'm not talking about losing 20$ here, more like 200$ now 350$ with these replacements, this is why I'm not doing another GB, unexpected events can happen, then the person hosting is is responsible, I'm going to have to only order 10 replacements, and I will sand the renaming ones I have left so they fit, it's all I can do, I've drained my PayPal & my bank account is going down.

I ordered some for myself to sell, if anyone wants stuff I've got some more, http://mintyfreshtech.com/MintyFreshtech-modules.html
I got green laser modules in aswell.

Thanks for everyone's patience & understanding. I will make it right for those who got larger ones,

Well I do have to say that the shipping should not have been quoted. We are talking about copper here not light stuff. People should have paid what it cost to ship not what you thaught it would cost. You cant control the price of shipping 'it is what it is' expecially if you want it fast. Just let me know if my shipping was short I will send you what I owe ya.

Just making sure you understood: I'm getting the SmallSun host for the golden SH032 heatsink that I ordered from ya, so you should send me one of the larger "wrong" ones as it is (unsanded); just make sure I get a set screw in there please :thanks:
Also, I don't know if this is the case with my order too, but if you did underquote my shipping as well, please let me know and I'll pay you any extra I owe you too.

Your shipping is properly quoted ;)
I'll include set screws of course, just have to wait for new ones from the manufacturer, and yes your heatsink is the old one :D

Just to give some an idea,
This was the total money collected for shipping : 147$ actual cost 368$

Plus I paid the set screws & shipping from manufacturer obviously ;)

I don't think you'd be out of order politely asking anyone whose shipping was underquoted to help you recoup part of that $221 loss; from what I've seen so far, this is a very supportive forum and we don't want to see people punished for hosting excellent GBs...

As for your manufacturer, was there a problem with the specs you provided them? If not, you should impress upon them that they are the ones who should be held accountable for the "set-screws foul-up" and the cleaning-up thereof...

btw, I discovered why your site seemed to be fluctuating so badly lately: the links in your signature lead to an older set of interlinked pages, which are not the ones that you've been updating lately, check it out.

Wow thanks for noticing that in my signature  I'll go fix it ;)

As for the 221$ I paid extra for everyone, I know my last GB when FedEx hit me with 75$ fees everyone wanted to pay me back which was polite & truly amazing, but I can't ask people for money if I improperly quoted them, it's not their fault so I can't impose ;) This was the last GB
http://laserpointerforums.com/f55/gb-2-copper-modules-all-sizes-closed-73507.html
Turned out great in the end :D if I could have another GB go like that one finished I would do it every day, this one isn't turning out good for me at all.

As for the manufacturer, they are having the set screws remade again for free, BUT I have to pay the 120$ FedEx shipping, & for the 10 new heatsinks, which will bring me close to 200$ now. So I lost a good ~500$ then after I reship all the defective stuff there's another ~50$ lost... but if everyone ends up satisfied I'll be fine :)

Im just not going to make another GB because of this, the dimensions I made the heatsinks of where of a SH-032, but DX made changes obviously which costed me money. Oh well, people hope you enjoyed the 2 GB's I made, most likely never again from me ;) but if someone else wants to step up, I'd help you for sure, I just don't want to organize it anymore, too much pressure, too much risk overall. I'll just keep what I have on the site & order from the manufacturer myself so people can still get good prices on stuff like this, I'm just going to try & make some money back now....

mehhh, haven't received anything yet :( Tell me whyyy

So sorry about that, but you have regular international shipping, which can take up to 28 business days, it's been 5 business days, it will get there soon hopefully :D

Also no other people other then canadians and Americans have received their stuff, only one international shipment was express, the slowest it's ever taken for international was 27 business days, that was Blords modules, Canada post doesn't have flights going to every european country every day, it's more like once a week, but once I leaves canada it gets there fast :D

Don't worry :D I wouldn't worry, according to Canada post it's lost after 35 business days, in which case I'll work something out for you :D
