At $2.00 per module I'm not worried about the copper makeup.

They and the aluminum modules should still be superior to the run of the mill Aixiz modules..

Jerry

I don't see how you can say that. The run of the mill Aixiz seem to be brass as well.

It makes a huge deal to me. If I'm putting a $50 diode (or maybe a more expensive new diode like the $135 635nm diode) in a module that I think is copper and it is actually some brass or bronze with a thermal conductivity 1/3 of Aluminum and 1/8 of Copper then I have a huge problem with that.

You are welcome to buy all of mine if they turn out to be <250 thermal conductivity at cost. I'll just have them sitting around while I look for a source of real copper modules at decent price.

Theill be what your expecting  if your not happy with them let me know I'll work something out with you :)

From what has been posted it seems to be a Japanese company that either outsources or is based in China?

As they made so many contradictory statements to AnthoT initially, I think it might be prudent to check what they send.

AnthoT also originally stated he would check what they send and even stated that he would demand a refund if the modules werent copper.

Jerry seems to be fine with what ever he gets, but I would just like to add that some copper alloys actually have an inferior thermal conductivity to even Aluminium. :undecided:

I think somebody needs a wambulance. Alot of whining going on here.

Guys, I'm sure AnthoT is going to make sure they are copper.

I've got you guys covered, it'll be copper and it will be good copper, I assure you, if not I will take action against the company for lying :)
They can't scam us because their lead time is 15 days not 45 ;) you're all good

I am fine with you. I was just making a point about the materials. I believe you are handling this well and my argument was not directed towards you. I just wanted to clarify the facts about the Aixiz modules. :yh::yh::yh:

i know you weren't directing it to me :D I'm just saying I'm willing to do anything to make everyone satisfied with these modules. i've always been like this and i always will be.
If i set out to do something i do it right, no matter what :D

With all due respect, but if it weren't for about three of the "whiners" these would have very likely arrived in C36000 free cutting brass with a thermal conductivity of 116W/(m*K) or Aluminum bronze with even worse thermal conductivity.

Well it's all good now :D and it's good copper :) Did I mention we are now all getting C11000 :san:

Now we might need a Geiger counter! ;)

I have one - I can test for excessive radiation  :D:D

btw you could go chemical and test if it is copper

Copper ions in water are a rich blue color. If you have a dilute H2SO4 you could try and dissolve a small piece. Careful with the acid though.

Also if you if you apply a flame to copper metal (better to use smallest piece possible, such as shavings) it will burn bright green. ;)

although I am not sure how will this turn out for copper alloys.

I'll try etching one and if there is some copper that etches that's a good sign :D
I've got a blowtorch also :eg:
So sure I'll test those along with the density

Sorry I actually can't add anyone now it's really too late :(
I know some of the members who've purchased very large quantities are selling them I think

actually if you are going to use HCL mixture for etching it will most likely etch almost any copper alloy (including BRASS). You could try pickling it. Most copper alloys are pickled in dilute sulfuric acid, but brass is pickled in concentrated sulfuric and nitric acid mixed with sodium chloride and soot. So if you successfully pickle it with dilute H2SO4 then it is at least not BRASS :D

Lol I'll do that :D and also brass is yellowish when not polished, H11000 is pinkish beige copper colour we are used to  + the etching I'll do should help :)
