Thanks, Jeff. It is available in gray color also. I will post pics when the gray finish units are ready.
________

Just a heads -up I have seen one of the new Pro=Pl-E in the 'Grey' color- its very nice and a 'sfoter' color and feel- very nice feeling to your hand. the color is NOT the same as the older Pl-E silver/grey (also called 'metalic') afaik the only other otpion is black.
I have seen those two And they also look very nice-- JL takes great care in the building of ther new Pro Pl-E 473nm blue- so there is a waiting list- PM gray or me to be added- at $300 these WILL be a very big seller-- so far al have been 3X spec. the beam is VERY thin and a small spot 1/2 the size of a 445 blue and 1/8th the size of a 532nmPl-E

here you see the spots fromabout 34 meters -all 3 Pro Pl-eS THE SMALLEST IS THE 473.(@>140mW) THE GREEN IS A 300mW AND THE 445 averages 1300mW

There's a waiting list! I'm glad I jumped on this when I did and got the first one! It is up there with my top three favorite hand helds for sure.

P.S. Your photos are still titled "PICS FOR SPEEDY QS FB3" :)

Ha ha i forget to change pic titles- so they are often wrong- the same day i took those i also took pics of your QS in box & the s/n you need to send in- its boxed now and goes to the PO in the morning.

I suggest you burn a copy of the QS disc= and keep the original and all the box if for some reason you are unhappy we refund purchase price and take it back if undamaged and in the box-- Just follow the steps on the quick start card and you are on your way.
back on topic- we asked for 473 and now we have them AND I must say it was worth the wait for the price and output. Now if JL could just get us a yellow DPSS just like these 473s WOOT! I *think* the next one done comes to me for aryntha... as we know he has hardly any lasers,,,,,,hak

Is it normal for my PLE Pro 800 to go over 1200mW :D

I need to write a review soon, if time let's me....!

The king kongs and the new tailcap , thanks to Gray... really made a difference...
(notice, i didn't recieve a new 3.5 jackplug with the tailcap... but that had to be the weakest link in the current flow sinds i removed allot of glue around it that makes contact with the ring on the battery end cap itself.
Without the ring on the tailcap that keeps the female jackplug end in place it doesn't work... the male jackplug was covered inside with glue from dropping it into it's cap, and it positioned crooked on my last battery end cap making weak contact with the female ring.

What i really would like to see in a new update is Fan active cooling!
I would throw $300 for it just so it works incorperated into the host.

It would be the ultimate, most powerfull green handheld to date...

just saying..

Quick snapshot...

Fact: beam get's nice and tight when hitting higher then 600mW
*look at the nice tem00 beam hitting the sensor* ''Impressive!''

Does it mode hop ? it sure does, but that's expected with high powered green dpps lasers... aldo this one seems to do it's best when reaching it's full potentional.

i've seen > 2 min tops (better heatsinking + fan cooling = orgasm) tops in above >900W

Cheers, a happy Jetlasers owner!

Thanks Dennis.
yes, i agree fan cooling portable will be a lot more stable!

Portables like PL-E Pro will fluctuate or drop in varied temp. coz in pumping every green laser, the wavelength of the pumping source, 808nm, needs to be carefully sort out and this selected wavelength is very closely related to the temp. in the field - suppose the temp. was 25-30C and if the working temp. for the laser is <25C or way over 30C, the power will fluctuate much coz the wavelength of pumping source 808nm also fluctuates due to the temp. change.

Usually it doesnot work out different in winter or takes longer warm-up time.

So, these air cooling portable green lasers have the inherent flaw in stability - too much susceptible to the heat/temperature
We will get a tec or fan cooling added to force cool the laser and probably the size needs to be enlarged - it will be a more bulky model. Will be less portable anyway. :)

For those who have not seen one in person-
here are two pics of the PRO PL-E silver/grey/metallic color-
This one is sold to Aljuna.- the color is slightly different than the 'non ' pro PL-Es
And while they look heavy these are incredibly light- much lighter than the DPSS greens and 473 Blue. (less "stuff' inside and lighter batteries)

There may be one for your choice if you do not want black. just PM us to see-- the price for either host color is the same- the one in these pics is only $240 usd during the current sale. It ONLY uses a pair of 16340s- but the output is very close to the older ones that could take a pair of 18650s or KK- so the only real difference is how long the run time id before needing fresh batteries. While I had several Pros in hand I tried to attach a second battery tube but that did not work very well-

Thanks for the quick reply :)
Nice to know the door is still open.

May I ask if there is a deadline for the GB?
