I may be able to get quite a few Inova Bolt 3A/2A/2L flashlight hosts at a good price, but I would need to order at least 100 of them to be able to pull it off. I'm just posting this to gauge the overall interest in these hosts.

The price would be dependent on the number of orders, but I think a ballpark price would be $6-$8 each for any of the three available models. You can see the differences and details here: Inova Bolt-series

Hopefully we'll be able to make this GB a reality, these are some very high-quality hosts!

Let me know if there are any questions!

:EDIT:

Looks like user C311Ryan has already used one of the 2-CR123A flashlights as a host: First Blueray Build

List of potential buyers:

Kevlar - 1x
Alexizupinhea - 1x (2-CR123A)
SpyderFire - 6x (2-CR123A)

Will they have the logo on them? (just out of curiousity). And these will be the hosts without the circuit driver and the LED? If they are really nice quality, I might be interested in one for now.

I'm not sure about the logo yet, I'd probably have to wait until I have a couple on hand to know. I'm pretty sure it would just be the hollow case, with no LED or circuit, but I'll know for sure soon. I haven't seen one of these in person, but I do have an Inova T3-MP flashlight, and I can tell you that it's by far the highest quality flashlight I have seen.

If you want, I can unofficially put you on the list for one host. Which size do you think you'd like? If and when we get around to actually ordering these, I'll check back with you to see if you want go ahead with it.

I'd be interested in one or more of these hosts. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see how the price pans out.

Probably the biggest for me^^ The CR123a's

Added you to the list, thanks!

I'm hoping to get a few questions answered in the next couple days. As of now, though, it looks like the price will probably be lower than I originally thought. I'll update this thread once I have more info.

All right, I just heard back from my supplier. He says that these hosts consist of the flashlight bodies without the light components. These have the tailswitch, but pretty much nothing else.

As far as the price goes, it's looking more like $6-$8 each, maybe less. We need at least 100 orders for this to go through. Let me know which models you want and how many and I'll add you to the list!

who's going to make the HS's?

put me down for 6 cr2 models

I'm not sure yet. I've contacted one of the forum members to see if he's interested in making heatsinks to go along with these. If I had a lathe of my own, I'd make them myself. :)

You're on the list! Just to make sure you know, these are 2x CR123A hosts, not CR2. Let me know if this changes anything.
