Feeler: 640nm @ 40mW

Well, there's been much of a craze regarding these 635 & 638nm diodes. I spoke to a supplier in the UK who has (10) 640nm diodes in stock. Now, I'm warning you all that these are a bit pricey and to me are not worth it (matter of fact, I won't even be purchasing one of these). But hey, who am I? Anyhow, here are the specs.



The price is 75 Euros per diode, which translates to roughly 107.3250 US dollars and that's not including shipping.

I would be interested in this if the price was lower. You can buy a HL6385DG 150mw 642nm diode for only 15 euros more.

I missed out on those 635s and now I am sad.
However, I also agree that if you were to spend that much, the 150mw is more bang for your buck.

They were $63 USD on Avnet plus tax and shipping. And for US buyers you would get in in 2-3 days. I can hit them up and see when they will get more stock.:beer:

$25 for shipping to Canada, and I had it in 2 days.

$200 for an HL63133DG that was $400 on thorlabs
