I still think we should have spent our monies on a death-laser instead (see Real Genius (1985))

We could even fill the end sequence involving popcorn step by step!

that movie is so horrible...

I bought 2 BR diodes a while back. The guys who sent it said that the price went up by 8$. Now they want me to pay an extra 8 bucks.

ummm... we heard ya the first time man!



The blu-ray DDL driver is the same as the red driver, EXCEPT:

USE A 33 OHM RESISTOR IN SERIES WITH THE POT! (instead of a 10ohm, or a 5ohm)

If you're talking about Daedal, then yes, the price has changed, and we all paid the difference or canceled. Some of us even ordered a few more.

This is what we were talking about the last few pages.



BTW, Daedal is not selling these, he is buying them for us, so that we would get a lower price. That is what a group buy is. Unfortunatelly, the supplier changed the price unexpectedly and there is nothing Daedal can do about it and it's not his fault. He is not making any money from this, but has to go through a lot of trouble, so that we can get them cheaper, than we would directly.

The supplier that Daedal is ordering the modules from increased the price just before the order was placed, from what they quoted originally. Daedal has tried to get them to bring it back down, but they won't change it back. There's nothing he can do about it. I'm thankful he was willing to go through the trouble of sending out the new invoices so the group buy can still go through.

Some of us even ordered a few more.

I was one of those ;D. Can never have too many spares. This is my first DIY laser, I'm sure I'll mess something up first time around :)

I ordered one more in a PM I sent between the time I learned that the second invoices were going to be sent (for the supplier price increase), and the time Daedal sent one to me. I asked him to add an additional diode in the cost with the second invoice. Not sure if everyone else did it the same way.

D'oh....... I just didn't think of that, I just assumed I would be able to order more in the normal way, oh well....I will have to await another GB I guess....
