You need 40mA[/quote]

probably 40mA, every diode is alittle different.
but no, that is not 100% operation time. 38mA at the most is recomended.

My is running off of a "DDL-circuit"- 33ohm resistor- Inputting just over 38mA, output is 14mW according to my LPM, pretty textbook ;)I will not try to drive it any harder. Waiting for the burners to come down ;D

Every diode is different and they will lase at different currents, the rule is that you should never put in more than 10mA after your diode starts lasing. Most of them lase at around 30mA and that's why you shouldn't go above 40, but if your diode starts to lase at 20mA, then you shouldn't go above 30mA.
