How and where do you install these correction optics? Will they work with the 405-G-1 lens?

According to page 1 post 1, "Set-up distance between lenses: 20mm" that is after the collimator lens and the 20mm between the 2 lenses in the set. I believe the tests were done with glass aspheric lens...

They were done with a 405-G1. There is no specific distance that the optics need to be at. I would assume that the nearer to the collimating lens, the better. This would allow any divergence before the cylindrical optics to be ignored... ish.

Ahh, my bad... I didnt realize the nature of the original question... I thought it was referring to the distance between the correction optics. Lack of sleep makes ones eyes quite fuzzy at times.:tired:

Thanks!
I got my small aperture 405 g-1 from jayrob! I'll be looking to mount these optics in a copper pipe and use a larger pipe to connect it to the AixiZ module w/some thermal grease.

If I run the beam through a beam expander after the corrective optics, will I still get the benefit of a better divergence if I have the dot focused in the expander? verses having no corrective optics going into the expander?

Hi folks,

does anyone of you get an update from the doctor? I already sent the money weeks ago. I just want to know if there's still some progress or not...

He has not replied to any of my PMs on PL, though I know he has been responding to threads. He DID have a long trip from SELEM, but that was earlier this week..

I had a response from him on PL a few days ago, he said they were being AR coated at the time. So maybe not too much longer..

Last I saw -- He would get them "this" week and send immediately.
I need a tiny end mill now.

If it matters, I sent in money a month or so ago (used the sales website) and am not on the list at the beginning of the thread.

Same, but he did post on his thread over at PLF on the 29th:

"Hi guys, I haven't updated the list in a while, will do that tonight.
They are to be sent out this week to me and then they will go out to you asap. I'm looking forward to seeing all you do!"

Got this PM from DrLava on Aug 17th

Hi, the lenses took a while to manufacture and they are in the optical coating stage now. I expect them to arrive in about a week and then I'll be able to ship the first two batches.

MY guess is really soon, or they are already on the way to groups 1&2.

Hopefully he will update this thread with a quick report on the progress..
