I put down $4.00 shipping for my lenses because these are small dense glass lenses protected by the lens housing and if they are packaged well, you can't hardly damage them at all. Anyone who was around when Jim in Greece sent out the lenses I used this same shipping rate, and while some got theirs more quickly than I did, I got mine more quickly than others. Really, if these are packaged well you just can't hurt them.

I've been following jmillerdoc's GB for the yellow DPSSLs and he had an unforeseen expense of some $58.00 for a bank transfer that caught him by surprise and he took it on himself to eat that since he felt that trying to add charges after the end of the group buy was just not good business. I don't know if this applies here, but just thought I would share that piece of information.

while no two GBs are exactly alike one thing is always TRUE
"GBs an have unforeseen pitfalls and expenses-these risks MUST be shared by ALL"

no exceptions--

Until you host a GB you REALLY have have NO IDEA how they can end up.

and even then from one GB to the next 'stuff happens'

GBs are, for sure, NOT for everyone...
(both the Hosts AND the buyers)

So this is how it will go.

I will send everyone my PP address + message with the amount they should pay + shipping options.

You will need to reply to my PM after sending the payment. In the payment , please add a note with :

* LPF Nickname
* Shipping option you chose ( you will get a list of options in the PM ).
* amount of lenses you ordered

After you reply. I will check the payment. And will reply and confrim I got it.

I will not take the $58 at the moment. Only if we will have to pay.

Please also note : I will do my best to reply in less than 24 hours. But I am working and studying so it might take sometime. 24 hours is the maximum :beer:

Update : Everyone got a PM except for ImA4Wheeler. It just said something like " there is no member ImA4Wheeler ". So ImA4Wheeler please post here again and I will send you a PM asap.

I sent the same message to everyone , just with different amounts.

Shipping rates :

* Regsitered airmail - $4 ( 1-11 lenses ) , $6 ( 12-21 lenses ) , $10 ( 21+ )
* Eco Post - $15
* EMS - $35

On EMS and Eco Post the amount of lenses does not matter at the moment. These changes on after 0.5kg. And I think only 100 lenses will reach that amount.

If someone got a wrong amount in his opinion , please send me message and I will check it again.

I'm not so much worried about damage with these or speed getting here - but in a regular envelope the bigger concern is it ripping open and nothing at all arriving.

I'm fine with cheaper

just want to say thank you and Paul for all your hard work on this group buy. I really appreciate it, and must say you guys have made my first group buy a true pleasure. By the way payment is sent and I really love the lasers you sold me months ago! SFCR-200 and The SFCG-100 rock man!

Perhaps wrap them in a flat bundle then tape the bundle to the inside of the envelope. That way nothing could ever fall out?

Not complaining about the diff in PP fees- just a FYI

BUT if I have overpaid and you want to do anything about that just upgrade my shipping--

the amount is very small and i know you will need to buy shipping materials etc

so absolutely NP

BTW I tried to send as a 'gift' and like sending Leo help$ in Brazil PP will NOT oblige... 'at this time' I bet it actually all the time--

by using 'advanced' search you will get a list of usernames that are similiar- look at the list AS you type- the drop down menu will change as you add letters and the correct one may go away- type slow and watch the menu

I will check that again.

As we calculated the fees to be %5 + %5. And the actually fees paypal take are various what happen is that from some people I get less. And from some more. It also depends on your histoty with paypal I guess.

I will refund everyone if needed only after I will get all the money and see if there are extras.

As what can happen is that you paid $6 extra and other people will pay a few $ less. And the total will be the same. I will check that once I get all the money in. And will make refunds according to that :beer:

In anyway , the supplier will be able to send the lenses next week. As after we pay he need to prepare them first and send them to us.

Also , everyone please note : I will send all packages with a customs declaration as gift under $20 ( unless you ask different , someone did ask me to send it as $5 only - it is okay ).

as I said
NOT a complaint-- this kind of GB takes a LOT of work- I would rather have 10 buyers of 500$ PJs

than having a list this long

I hope you can print ship lablels on-line at PP AND every member has his address correctly at PP-

that question should have been asked in the OP--

Most greedbayers refuse to ship any other address- & some insu=ist that that address MUST be greedbay verified which takes some time and buys /deliveries

I HAD to do that ony once and it took me going into my PP account and changing my address to the other guys-and once the label was printed I had to go back and change it again.
