How about beam divergence? Of course it also depends on the diode, but It seems that the three element lens has a much tighter focus, although lower power output. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm wondering how this lens is for precision/power density. Do we have any comparisons for dot culmination?

Akiyama, I have not seen any yet, but my understanding is these lenses are identical, or nearly so, to the G9 lens. They seem to have all the same characteristics as a G9 in every way.

When we send the PP $ for the lenses will we be sending it to Thejoker301? Because for the people in the USA wouldn't that increase the PP fees? I guess it might depend on where the source for the lenses is, if it would make a difference or not.
Also will it be possible to pay with Bitcoin?

Eitan is only comfortable with PayPal, but the PP fees have been calculated to cover charges no matter where you are sending from. As the quantity of lenses increase I will be changing the PP fees as these as well as the charge per lens could change,(only go down) but that will only change as the number of lenses change appreciably. For now, the expenses are pretty close to what you should expect should the number not continue to increase.

By data sheet, I meant something that gives the focal length and other optical parameters, the asphere shape, etc. Is there such a sheet available from the company?

I have not seen one, but I don't even know who the supplier is. That would be a question I will have to ask Eitan, but from what I've seen of what he has on this lens, no, there is no data sheet explaining the focal length, the front and back focus, or the other optical properties such as the glass used, or anything more than they are aspheric lenses and have a very short focal length.

Wow, this GB is darn impressive! have you contacted DTR to see if he would like to get in on this? Would save him and his buyers money, could maybe be an alternative for 3 element glass, and possible the g-type lenses.

My understanding is that DTR is full with G2 lenses and cannot use these at this time. I would email him, otherwise, and tell him about them.

r4mn33k, no, not at this time. Eitan will have them for $7.00 each on his website at SciFi Lasers after the end of the group buy. At this time I am unaware of anyone carrying these lenses for retail sales.

OK--ah.. 10$ to ship? 25 pcs..
I may have this wrong- PMed about it a few days ago- are we getting direct ship??
Some $$ could have been saved if the bulk of the USA buyers got reshipping from one host-but its all good-- saves the source a LOT too- it is how many do GBs when the item is not large-PP fees are avoided by bank transfer- 40 $ to send $5K or more --

I will hold at 25 pcs for now--- I will PM

BTW DHL is worth every extra penny... so ....well done on that part

Hi everyone

So let me get it all clear ..

The lenses does not have some sort of data sheet. I tried to ask the supplier.

The shipping is $45 from the supplier to me via DHL up to 400 lenses +-.

From me I will send all lenses. There are 4 options :

* Registered Airmail - $4 ( 1-12 lenses ) , $6 ( 12-30 lenses ) , $10 ( 30-100 )
* Eco post ( Canada and US only ) - $12 up to 30 lenses. 30-100 lenses - $17
* EMS Express - $35 ( up to 100 lenses )
* FedEx Express - $55 ( up to 70-100 lenses , need to check that again with FedEx ).

So you can basically choose a shipping option after we will close this GB.

PP fees are calculated twice. As I am from Israel I can not take gift payment unfortunately. So one time you send the money to me .. And I send it to the supplier.

I am comfortable with PayPal as I am always working with it. Unless there is another easy option

How are you figuring the fees? There are no formulas in the spreadsheet.

For example, =ROUND((B2*C2+D2)*0.029+0.3,2)

Also, the M$ hosted sheet is missing.
