We trade debt in this country now. Dollars = I.O.U.

lots of people wonder why we can't pay off the national debt, but they don't understand the way the federal reserve works. all the money they conjure out of thin air is loaned to us at interest. some people think the govermnet just prints more money whenever it needs it, but the truth is far worse and more insidious.

I think DPSS hasn't gotten too much cheaper, nothing like 445nm's at least. The process is hard to improve upon, other than creating a direct diode in that wavelength

Honestly? I don't really get why some people think these are so cheap. Even $500 is a LOT of money. If you guys have a packload of cash that's fine, but telling CNI this is a steal will just destroy the deal for us normal guys.

Sorry about the rant but I really wanted to get a 589nm and I'm only doing it at a cheaper (but still pretty damn expensive) price.

@WBS: I'm probably in for 600, probably out for more than that. I'm also quite sure I won't get a 532nm now, I'd rather wait for the high power diodes.

I will tell CNI that for 650 we will lose some sales, but if they are willing to go 600 we will have many more.

I would still advise caution, however, given that we have some rumors of low quality products from CNI at cheap prices... I'd rather pay the extra $50 for an overspec laser than cut that $50 for an underspec...

Also, can we have an updated status on the members who are willing to commit to which lasers, and at which powers? Thanks burn :beer:

I am going to be emailing each person requesting what they can realistically commit to. I have been busy with dentist shit past couple of days....apparently you are supposed to go more than once per 3 years. Lol

I seriously doubt they'll drop quality on purpose because of that, they know this forum provides them with lots of customers - I don't really see them selling that many yellow handhelds anywhere else. If so you should probably skip the GB anyways and go for the full price.

As for commitment, we'd need to know the final prices (would be cool if you could put them all on a table in OP) and have some time to decide.

Hey Wannaburnstuff,
My thoughts are once you hear back from Ava and post the final prices and amount of people for each laser, and what the shipping and insurance will cost, so each person will have a total amount owed, a few days after that so people can get their finances together.I would hope everyone that wants to participate has been saving up the past few weeks. Also you mentioned Paypal is a no go and you want to use money orders?

Yes I would much prefer money orders as paypal will not let me withdraw more than 500 dollars per month. This has to be done via bank transfer. Hopefully everyone is okay with that. If you have an alternate method of payment you want to discuss, PM me.
