Normally iirc laserbtb sent them asap and arribed in 1-2 weeks. I don't remember well but that's what I remember of the last one.

Does anyone own the 515 and 520? How similar are they? Ive been reading about the 520s and wavelength shift closer to 530 depending on how they are driven. I dont suspect these are driven too hard due to the power but just checking to see if anyone has them.

FYI i know there is at least one member on BLF that is interested in the PL445-1600 but is trying to get funds together.

I can't resist. If my friend agrees to buy my current 405nm by friday, I'll be in for the PL405. maybe. I want to know more. the site says the divergence is 3mrad, really bad IMO. hell, my current 405nm has better divergence than my RPL 532. It also says on the site TEM00, which doesn't sound like a multi mode

so do they say 3mrad because it is a multi mode diode? Is the 3mrad a mistake? anyone have experience with these versus a 500mW SO6J 12X build, specifically beam diameter and divergence?

I dont know but what laser is your current laser? The lenses laserbtb uses are pretty good imho. The efficiency is in the middle of a three element and a g-1 and the same for divergence so you get best of both worlds. I believe blord tested those.

Anyway maybe someone else with a 405 can chime in!

Mine is made by blord, I believe using the S06J 12X diode. It came with a 3 element but I switched it to a g lens. I find the divergence is still pretty good with a g lens, the beam diameter is thinner, and more mW are caught by the lens, all these factors making for a more lovely beam. better burning too. I may be able to live with a laser beam between the two lens types

I will PM a few people about it and see what they say.

Maybe I'll get one regardless of selling mine or not.

HL515-30mW x1+ (freaks wanted)
HL460-100mW x1+ (freaks wanted)

Also, if applicable (and not disadvantaging fellow group-buyers), I'm willing to spend at least 50% addt'l cost for freaks, particularly: longest-wavelength 460nm, e.g. 465nm; shortest-wavelength 515nm, e.g. 511nm. I'd greatly appreciate the opportunity to purchase any freaks, e.g. high power. I'd like at least one of each model, and am considering greater quantities, based on freak availability. Thank you!

Sooo, i'd have to echo this but, who wouldn't I guess?

I'm pro-freak on this stuff too for sure.. I'll see how it goes but i'd be willing to make a similar offer as cmak so long as we don't have to fight it out in the ring.

Since he made first dibs he gets best choice but, are we even spectroing these?

Unfortunately it is only luck of the draw. If you want a shot at a exclusive wavelenth or so you will need to buy a few lasers of the same sort and measure them individually

I will go ahead and add you to the list. But if you want freaks only this GB is not for you. I am sorry about that :can: If you want more lasers feel free to add more. We need more order to get this GB going anyway!

Keep me down for at least one of each, for now, as I consider at least two of each. If I do two of each (or more), I'll have them sent to someone (likely near Texas) to spectro/LPM, to know where each stands.

This is perhaps a bit of a stretch, but if anyone's willing to join my pool of 515nm/460nm lasers, we'll get them all shipped to one person for spectro/LPM analysis, and I'll pay you ahead for the first choice(s) among them (betting on WL freaks). I'm counting on this being a win-win for someone.

Aryntha, what's your experience with 460nm WL freaks? Do they ever get somewhat close to 473nm in appearance?

^^^Depending on the price, I'd be interested in taking a 460 and 515 (or 520) that does not fit "freak status"
