cmak:

The deal is, whatever is the price on the website - (bulk discount (15% off for 25 pairs, assuming we get them) + 7% off for OEM's generous coupon) + shipping (probably $5 or something, USA).

That's better than the deal we got with Dark Horse's group buy a year ago or so.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

To sum up, I trust DL enough to be willing to buy these and use my upcoming Arctic (and future 12X) with them. I base my trust off of what's written on that page, my past experiences with DL, and their great reputation amongst laser enthusiasts.

You own one laser. How can you trust anyone without having, and testing the goggles?

Assuming everyone that wants a pair is really going to buy that they wanted then aryntha, your two orders would make 25!

Dave plays the middle man, right?

Thread-starter, pls contact the interested members and write down the final discounted prices. I want the goggles ASAP, before my Arctic arrives.

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

Is this still open to more orders?
It's my first post here... but I'd be interested (but not 100% committed yet) in a DI4, style 35 (these would be good for 650nm 300mW and 808nm up to 1W, right?)

Also (sorry if I'm being a newb), what would be the shipping cost (and is there insurance / tracking offered), payment method, or is that still to be determined?

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

@ducky Welcome to the forum! It's definitely still open for orders. Right now we're putting a list together of people interested (no commitments) so we can get the 25 orders necessary for the maximum discount. The DI4 would definitely work well for both of those lasers. It might be a little overkill for the 650nm because you really only need OD 2 on anything less than 500mW. The payment method on all of the group buys I've seen is Paypal, and some people offer Google Checkout in addition. I'm not sure about the shipping cost, but it shouldn't be too bad (to the US at least).

Re: GB for OEM Laser Systems protective eyewear

I was thinking about the OD for red too, but I can't seem to find any goggles which are both OD2-3 for ~650nm and overkill for 808nm IR (as I understand it, since it's invisible there is no blink reflex to save my eyes or even notice an accidental shot, right?)
What would be the minimum power (after attenuation by goggles) to even notice a red dot?
Thanks!
