I'm interrested in the 150mW 635-638nm single mode 3.8mm diodes!

Can you tell us more about these diodes, and what is the price?

Do you also have some detailed specification?

I'd be down for a couple 685s or maybe the 635-638s depending on the price. The original diodes would be nice though. Either way, I'll be glad to wait.

Hey Guys.

Alright so i should be getting the diodes In today or tomorrow. Ill post an Update when they do.

If these dont come out then I will put in the request for the refund which should only takes a day or 2 to get the funds back Due to the time difference and the weekend.

Also what iam going to do is if i have to refund is I will only be offer the Dual WL 660nm diode at the moment. So its either going to be a full refund option a swap out for the Dual WL diode or a Partial refund with some Dual WL diodes. etc..

THe Other Stuff what i will do is open a Feeler thread to see how many people want in on certain items. Then We will figure that out.

Alright guys,

Its a No Go.

Its not even worth me making a video. These pop at ~280mW....


So iam putting in the request for the refund. I expect to see the refund back by Sunday. (Probably Saturday but since the time difference it will be early morning when i get it).

So i will begin the refunds then....

I will make a post here that iam getting ready to start refunding.

So i will be sending PMs Out to those that have not gotten a refund already.

So from now till Sunday think if you would like any duals. They are indeed $5 each.

Iam really bumbed out right now. But i tried to get them as hard as i could.

O well. I will keep my eyed Pealed and hope to find them again... I just cant believe how this happened. They where right at the tip of our hands then all of a sudden GONE.! Its freaking Unreal.

I hope one day i find these again. I really do. Its eating at me. Red is my favorite as you know IE. So having single mode 500mW 660nm is a dream.

But what can you do. All we can do is try. Dint work out this time but iam not giving up.

I still have the 5.6mm ones on the way to me to try out.

It's ok Ang. I'm sure those 5.6mm diodes will give decent power. And they may not be perfect but those 638 diodes are a great alternative (for now)

It will be interesting to see if the 5.6mm ones are good, if not maybe post a shopping list of the other stuff you can get?

Great job you did trying this hard to get these diodes, alot would have given up far sooner than you Angelos.

defo interested in some other stuff in liu of the 3.8 payment or a refund so can start again. Whichever is easiest for you.

Just got the Refund from them so iam going to start the refunds shortly.

Iam Probably just going to go down the list to make it easy.

However If there is Anyone that Needs a Refund immediately please send me a PM.

Just a Quick Memo.

Also again the Dual Wavelength 660nm diodes that are 3.8mm in size as well are $5 each. Been getting a few PM's asking me how much they are so i will state it again here.

The Duals will be Here Either today or tomorrow. So there wont be a wait for me to ship out.

There is a Limited supply of them. So keep that in mind. But i dont think we will run out.


They put out a little over 300mW of 660nm with a 405-G lens at 380mA.

I see at 400mA they stop increasing much.


So THe Currant VS power ration is Different then a LPC-826. In fact its kinda nice because it doesn't require so much currant to get 300mW.

An LPC-826 IIRC needs 530mA to get 300mW


So In Short these Dual WL diodes put out ~300mW at 380mA with a 400mA MAX.

Next to a LPC-826 that puts out 300mW at 530mA.


For the IR Side 300mA gives you 200mW and 350mA give you 240mW. It died at 360mA.
