Alright folks, here's the breakdown:

Each lens assembly is $26. Not the deck, just the lens which includes the diode as well as an objective lens, some nice magnets and few SMD components as pictured here http://www.psxboy.com/349_PS3-KES-400A-Laser-lens.html . I know this thing has 3 really neat SMD pots to control the operation of each of the colors. The diodes are 3 in one but VERY VERY EXTREMELY static sensitive.
There is a shipping of $2.90 per item when prorated over 50 of them.
There is a T/T fee of $1.20 per item when prorated over 50 of them.
There is a shipping cost of $5 per ORDER domestically and $12 internationally. Remember that this is per order. If you order 1 or if you order 5, it's the same.
I will be using Google Checkout, thus there are no fees for receiving money.

Final price per item is $30.10 each item + $5 or $12 per order. This will take me a couple of days to get the final word from the seller for it, and to get the web page up and running to accept such complex payment options as google is not as flexible as PP unfortunately. If anyone is interested in using PP regardless and wouldn't mind paying the fee, please PM me and I'll arrange for that as well.

By show of hands and feet... who's interested now? ;D ;D

is this what i would need to make myself a blue laser pointer?

i'm getting into this hobby. well i've always been interested in lasers, but past the burning and cool effects, it's actually quite interesting if you go in-depth.

i'd like this to be my first DIY project involvolving lasers.

is there a stickied tutorial i can follow along? one for beginners specifically?

I guess I better get in on this now. I'm definitely interested in one.

I consider this an advanced porject due to the sensative nature of the diode. I'm getting 3 because I figure I'll torch at least one. I recommend getting 2 - 3 of the GB reds as a learning tool and get a blu-Ray for when you feel ready for it.
I've burned up about 20 red diodes so far and each one was a learning experience. Don't buy a blu and learn the hard way. Start with the GB RED and use the circuits provided.

How powerful is this diode? Can you use the 5mW Aixiz driver for this diode?

This will make you a violet laser pointer. Check over here

http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1185257885

for my concoction one lazy afternoon ;)

The color is very similar to a black light. It's VERY bright when pointer on GID (Glow In the Dark) stuff or anything that may contain fluorescein such as highlighters and the such.

I think this is a very difficult and expensive first trial project. Although the most rewarding considering how RARE BluRay laser pointers are. There are other and better projects that have been carried out by other members though ;) Some are hands down much better than I have there :p

There is a stickied tutorial for a very nice and easy circuit which will be very effective on such a setup. It's at the top of the Experiments and Modification section for a DIY laser driver.

I don't think you can use that module for this only because the BluRay diodes need 4.5V or more to turn on, while reds need about 2.8V

It will be good for up to about 7mW though. ;) Which is plenty of CW violet considering the technology is just beginning :p

Put me down for one. You should be doing a GB on anti-static mats and wrist-straps with these!

Nope !

$35.10 for domestic, and $42.10 for "Over the pond" Addresses ! Check with Daedal for pricing of multiples....
