Although it might be a bit pointless at this stage of design, there is member with
an awesome homemade design for a "smartswitch" that I stumbled upon the other day.

Here's the thread about it:
http://laserpointerforums.com/f65/445nm-pointer-build-laser-lock-security-system-52416.html

I guess it is unlikely to be able to fit his circuitry into THIS here host though...
But maybe some of the would-be owners might be interested in this, so I thought
I'd spam that link here for everybody to see.

do you have to take a retina scan to unlock the damn thing?

But in all honesty, a smartswitch may be a good idea, JUST for the sole purpose of keeping unwanted users out, I have a batterys box, with my batteries and a charger, then I have my laser cases. Even though they aren't kept together, if someone who was unaware were to actually get one of my lasers up and running (by figuring out jumbled mess of batterys and what nots) that smartswitch may be a good idea, im not sure how practical it would be for pontiacs antarctic tho

If we have a side clicky option, I think a tail key lock would be simple enough for members to add on their own, no?

If that's "crappy" remind me to never show closeups of my soldering. :p

A tail key lock switch would be great. I've looked for them for my other 445 build and so far have been unsuccessful in locating any.

Antarctic is pretty much spot-on.

Here's a couple of name suggestions:
"The Boomstick"
"Model 42"
"The Omega" (in a similar fashion as the "42")
"The Sonic" (as in screwdriver)
"The λ"(-spewer,-machine,-capacitor, whatever)

Do you flip balisongs? I noticed the model 42...
