Hello guys:
I am trying to get my hands on some titanium rod. Is there anyone interested in a group buy? This way we might get some discount, and spread out the shipping cost from China or from somewhere else in Asia. Any rod under 25mm dia. is the same price in kilo. I still need to get the actual price price from supplier.

I just asked the dealer about the titanium rod. He said anything under 25mm dia. is $50 per kilo. So it's about $150 for 1 meter. Anyone interested in a group buy? And it's shipped from Taiwan, shipping under 3 kilo is about $30.

you are always better off with sourcing it from the local parts of the country.. rather than to wait for products from china which in most cases are inferior in quality.
just my 2 cents.

I am an international student from Taiwan, so there is no problem of dealing with them. The source I have is the same source that sells titanium to Boeing and AirBus. Their titanium are SGS certified. I've seen the report.

Just out of curiousity, what would you do with the Titanium (or Adamantium)?

EDIT: Apparently I don't read enough Marvel Comics. :p

Well according to X-men once adamantium sets it's indestructable... I could think of many uses!!! maybe a host with some sort of built in shock absorption... though it would have been convenient to have adamantium bones the day I lost my arm :p
