For me, I can buy from O-Like using a credit card, so I could avoid PP fees by paying them directly. That was my original question when I brought this whole thing up yesterday. I still would prefer to send the payment by credit card to O-Like and avoid the PP fees. Thanks, Paul

Well that was one of the first things I askes Susie about...but she replied saying that it would cost to much to ship every lens to each member since shipping is at least 10$. Thus I'd be cheaper if they sent all lenses to me (they offered free DHL shipping) and then I reship the lenses to you for less than 10$ of course! :beer:

I think i73770k was suggesting sending all lenses to a one trusted USA lpf member then he can reship them to individual buyers within the USA at less cost.

Jim, I think the question was "why not ship all the lenses to a LPF member in USDA since most of the people in the GB are here and the shipping fees to each individual member would be less." I think that is a good idea. If the shipping price to me is going to be over $5.00 I would do better ordering direct from O=Like for $10.99 each and free shipping. Paul

Sorry guys, I missunderstood that...First of all Paul O-like does not offer free shipping as far as I can tell...it's 10$ for shipping via Singapore Mail! Secondly, shipping cost from me to anywhere in the world will be less than 5$ for sure! Furthermore, in my mind, shipping from o-like to a USA member and then reshipping would cost way more than 5$...

I am open to suggestions,

I thought shipping was $1.50?

I'm in the same boat. If shipping is $5, the group buy has no real benefit. The discount is relatively small even at $1.50 for shipping.

It's max 5$, usually it is 1.5-3$, I'll confirm it with the post office and get back to you! :beer:
Guys as I said before I'm open to suggestions, if we can find a cheap way to distribute them in the US I may be able to get susie to give us free DHL shipping to both the USA and me! ;)

rhd, the shipping to Canada from USA is high from what I've been told by Jerry @ Laser Bee. It may be better to send USA members from an LPF member here and for outside the US some other way could be explored. Paul

It's the other way around. Shipping from Canada is expensive. Shipping to Canada from international locations is usually the same as to the US.

Isn't the OP shipping these from Greece anyway? Not from the US?

Just checked the prices for shipping with the online calculator IF IT IS ACCURATE here are the shipping fees:
EUROPEAN UNION:
i) First-Class: 1.8euros = 2.5$
ii) Second-Class: 1.6euros = 2.2$
REST OF THE WORLD:
i) First-Class: 2euros = 2.75$
ii) Second-Class: 1.8euors = 2.5$

Jim, if your shipment figures are correct the my 4 lenses will cost me $34.00, plus $2.75 shipping to USA, plus about $1.50 to PP for a total of $38.25. I can live with that. I don't know how anyone else will feel about it, but if you want $38.25 for four lenses shipped to me, then, count me in. Paul

What I think we really need is the final cost on that spreadsheet... It's really hard to guess, specially the whole PP fees thing.

Edit: those shipping quotes are for each lens or for an unlimited amount?
