Hhhmmm, 605nm for $40. That's really tempting since it should be close to orange. I'll have to find a good picture of that wavelength too see if I want one.

:'(

I do want a better and more powerful red one though. I still might go for it if somebody here will take some money for building it for me.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see these diodes as very good deals. The 10-pack of blank modules would be useful though.

You can get a better-than-200mW red for between $25-30 from a 20x DVD recorder (there are posts about this in the Experiments and Mods section); with that you also get optics, components, motor, and other useful stuff.

The blu-rays from Daedal are in the near-20mW range... didn't someone get 16 or 18? And they're a fraction of that price.

Not that Aixiz doesn't have some good stuff... for example they have a little focusable 6mm red module that makes a great diode housing for a pen-sized blu-ray pointer (and those "Aixis modules" are cool!).

If you can get those blanks with glass lenses - or 10-packs of the glass -, I'd be up for some.

There is definitely a lot of interest in orange. I know I _can_ make variable tint yellow lasers, but whether I can make then cheap enough to sell is another thing. I may make up some lower powered ones at some point and see how they go.

sorry about the threadjack (and double post lol)
I would be down for some if you could get the smaller red modules as blanks (the 6x12mm ones).

I think the phaser diodes are a better deal and very possibly better diodes as well. ;)

I was about to say that... there is nothing on that list that tickles my fancy....
