Sound lasers inch closer to reality

Wow, first time I've read anything about a "saser". Sounds pretty cool (pun intended)

The military is moving away from Laser Dazzle, too many poorly built units without safeguards, and too many high power green pointers ending up on the battlefield, out side of the approved supply chain. Its leading to counterbattery fire from the bad guys, and a number of blue on blue incidents. A number of soldiers have been injured with dazzler prototypes,as well. Issue tactical mil pointers are red for the most part, for reduced scattering in dusty locations.
