I'm sure this sort of thing has been posted here in some form before, but here's a new one:

Apparently, not only might they be able to channel electricity with a laser beam, but also high-power microwaves!  The only bad thing is that despite this being your tax dollars at work (meaning those of us that live in the US) - we almost never get to see videos... :mad:   But then again, if we get to see them so does the whole entire world, including enemies of the US. Other than that, it's really cool.

oh wow. Does seem very neat in concept, but I want to see where my money is going ;D

I know it isn't quite the same thing, but whenever I light a match with my BR lighter the flame invariably goes toward the lens, as if it is following the beam.

That may be due to the fact that the laser is pointing at the side
of the match that is the closest to the laser beam.... and when it
ignites the chemical reaction happens to blow away outwards from
that ignition point... again... towards the incoming laser beam... IMO :cool:
