It has been proven that time does slow down as you travel faster and
faster... the phenomenon it is called Time Dilation...

Time dilation is the slowing of time relative between a inertial and non-inertial frame of reference. In other words the time lapse between two events is not invariant from one observer to another, but is dependent on the relative speeds of the observers. For example the twin parallax is a thought experiment by Albert Einstein, where one of the twins are placed in a rocket and orbits the earth at the speed of light, where as the other is on earth. The first twin comes back to earth a few years later, and looks as he has not aged at all, where as the other twin has. This is due to their RELATIVE velocities, not due to the first twin moving at the speed of light. This is the theory of relativity.

A lot of theories but nothing solid.

Ummm that's not soo... In particle accelerators they have accelerated muons which have a life span of around 2.22 microseconds to 98% the speed of light. When traveling at this speed their life span was increased to approx 11.22 microseconds.

Also there are the Velocity time dilation tests, by Ives and Stilwell
and there are the Gravitational time dilation tests, by Pound, Rebka
and there are the Velocity and gravitational time dilation combined-effect tests, by Hafele and Keating

that time really doesn't exist but rather the question is, "What is where, now?"

But this is also a very good point Jay! In the quantum world this statement holds try, but in the world we live in (meaning things we can see and touch) this is incorrect. We have defined time, with instruments and ideas of our world, the world we see. In the quantum world, there maybe no time. Before a second in our world time passes, things happen, such that we can not totally predict it, path or position.

The uncertainty principle states that the more you know about one thing the less you know about some thing else. This is true for an electron orbiting a nucleus and could in fact be relative to time as well. The more we know about the electrons momentum the less we know about its position and vise versa. This could be the same as time, the more accurately we mesure time in our world... the less we know about time in the quantum world!

I think I bring up an interesting point when I say this, can we really know unless we do it ourselves? What kinds of labs are REALLY out there? How many are hidden? And, What have they done so far?

There is so much to the unknown... I'm afraid that wikipedia and the rest of the Public could never really know... Um, I think I'm scarring myself at this time :confused: *pees pants*

Lol Crazy Jay, you're acting a bit like Agent Mulder there :tinfoil:

Yeah it may be possible to "slow" down time a small fraction, but travelling "back in time" isn't really possible. As you said Crazy Jay, time is more a form of measurement that we invented.
