Using the resonance frequency of a wine glass you can shatter it into little pieces:

(Warning: very loud and annoying):

HumanSymphony shall come into this thread to break glass with a high pitched voice with a talkbox.

I like watching this... its just taking the glass's resonant frequency and increasing the wave's amplitude or overall energy that ultimately does work on the glass bonds.. but glass is surprisingly flexible! Its very neat to see! Thanks for sharing this!

I bet I could do that with my neighbor's dog in place of the speaker - there's nothing like the piercing shrieking bark of a 15lb rat terrier! But I'll have to make sure I wear ear protection if I do that...

(Aaaaaand here goes the thread..)
There are some cats around here that don't have an owner but just come around my house to meow like hell...they make dogs bark like hell too...AND my dog as if it weren't enough.

No, no laser scares them away, I've tried (not in the eyes).

Yeah I saw the Mythbusters episode. Some guy did it with his bare voice but it took like a thousand tries. It can easily be done with high quality mics and speakers (or so it looked).

You can do it on a more spectacular scale using ULF waves on a building as a unique demolition method.

A college institute here has a big solid metal sphere hanging from a metal string and is connected to the ceiling.....but the sphere is at floor level, kind of like this:

If we found out the resonance frequency of it we could take down the whole building easily :p
