It makes you wonder, how could someone live to be that old being that damn stupid!
On the other hand, if he keeps shining lasers at cops, he won't live much longer!

Too true; I hoping he was just new to lasers and just didn't know any better. No excuse though, you reap what you sow, I'm guessing his in a world of hurt. Maybe he'll learn, tough lesson though. :tsk:

Some people. My brother in law was over a few days ago and I was showing him some of my collection and his first response was holy crap are those airplane quality. His first thought! I told him that was the stupidest thing I have heard come out of his mouth. He said yeah I probably shouldn't have a laser. So yeah I'm no longer surprised by the stupidity of people. He is actually a good natured person trying to get his act together. Just can't wrap my head around why why why at 30 yrs of age...like no doubt if we were in the back yard and I handed him a laser the first aircraft he saw would become a target...

Also similar to "contents will be HOT" on microwave meals ... Obviously that warning doesn't do any good anyway, seeing as I burn my mouth 95% of the time regardless. :D

But yeah, unfortunately some people just lack forward thinking, so they don't consider the results of their actions more than 30 seconds into the future...

go to laserpointersafety.org to read and dozens more....one guy who got arrested.."that was the most stupid thing I have ever done- I am now a convicted felon-cannot vote or own a firearm ..' ( most also are banned for life when It comes to EVER owning more lasers.

Len, I don't think most of these people think that far ahead when making these dumdass decisions, then it's way too late!

Grrrr......One of these days one of these idiots will point their high power handheld at a cop or a pilot or an ambulance driver or.......whomever, at close range doing very serious damage to someone's eye(s). The day after that happens we'll see legislation introduced to bring down the ban hammer on our favorite toys.

After the incident at Burning Man a few years back you now see that all the major festivals have an unconditional ban on all hand held lasers.

As long as asshats like this are in the gene pool things are only gonna get worse.

It's happened to me before, years ago, while I was still in Scotland. Someone in a taxi shone a green pointer into my eyes while I was turning at some traffic lights. Rolled my window down and had a good go at him, almost got out...

Idiots everywhere unfortunately.

From my perspective he is a kid. Everytime I hear a news story such as this, the incident is always perpetrated by a young male. And they always seem to be caucasian. Very odd.
