Hey
Are there still any shops in melbourne cbd or surrounding areas, aus where they sell laser modules, diodes over the counter? (apart from jaycar)

WHERE HAVE THEY GONE?

it is a store that sells laser components, not pointers.

Not too sure.... But I do carry spare parts and odds and ends from time to time. If you ever need something, I'm in Sydney.. shipping is typically 1-2 day. Also I sell at my price, meaning you pay what I payed for the part.

There's a parts vendor in Sydney who doesn't have a storefront. They should be able to ship into Melbourne no problem.

Just as well they're having a special on 635nm modules (the poor man's HeNe)

You wont find any over the shelf laser retailers, because laser pointers over 1mW are illegal in Vic anyway. Theres quite a few Melbourne members here though, not storefront but you can still probably go and pick up the parts.

I've got a 13mm module (100mw) that I've just relieved from a seller here in Melbourne.
The problem is I don't have a suitable (I thought I did) casing to fit it. Can anyone advise of a place where I can get one or even a led torch from somewhere like jaycar etc that may suit.

Hate to be a tad of a stalker, but how's the module treating you so far?

p.s I'm the seller :)

Edit: I'm looking in to getting hosts that fit 12mm and 13mm modules however im still figuring out the price of shipping and more importantly trying to look at the legal side of things if i was to do that.
