Question IR Radiation

IR Radiation confuses me. When exactly do I have to worry about this?

Default Re: IR Radiation

You have to worry about it in unfiltered DPSS (532nm, 473nm) lasers.

Or with IR lasers

How do I know if a laser is an unfiltered DPSS?

It should say it in the description of the laser you're buying or contact the seller

lots of people think 405nm, 445nm and 635nm - 660nm have ir but they don't so like it was said above just worry about DPSS or ir lasers

Hate to change the topic on the same thread, but for this, what kind of glasses would I need?

You would need glasses that have an OD rating of 3 or more that specify that they protect from 400-415nm or a larger range

I'm just guessing the FDA would stop that. over 5mw with no (key, etc) safety features.
"Kaidomain.com (KD) is located in Shenzhen/Hong Kong, China, sourcing and delivering hottest gadgets at unbeliveable price worldwide. Found back in 2007, KD strives to bring outstanding value and services in the coming years.

Shenzhen is known for getting stopped in customs.

Just a warning.. look into them a bit before purchasing.
