I always find it odd that people threaten to leave because they are offended.

I mean is it just me? Should I feel guilty or offended in some way?

The instant someone says that they are leaving, idk, maybe it's just me, but my reaction is...

Since I won't have to deal with the idiocy again.

Maybe it's just me.

People tend to have thin skin.

It's ok. People take things too personally.

Yeah, such reactions are puzzling. It's like letting an annoying protester die from his hunger strike. Or getting suspended from school for skipping school. These are reward-punishments!

Something tells me neither of us would do well at talking people down from suicide... :tinfoil:

I think maybe it's a reflection of the "everything revolves around ME" mentality.

Maybe make it so they have to put at least a piece together(like soldering one wire, etc) ... that way you are not selling a completed laser, just a "kit". Not sure It would remove all liability but at least technically you wouldn't be selling a class IV laser.

FDA has been down the kit road before. A kit that can eventually lase, is still a laser.
Its been tried,

Steve

I am starting to believe, that if you can't make one, you shouldn't be buying one... :/

I agree 100%. If a person is truly interested he/she will be willing to take the time and learn how to DIY one. Otherwise they can go to any one of a million Chinese websites online and buy one ready made.

Did you look at the date that Toaster posted that? Sure you didn't raise this thread from the dead, but it's like you're talking to a ghost at this point.
