Hey Community,

I am new to this forum and I am also new to lasers.

I am only the owner of a 1MW and 5MW Laser. Today I bought a 2,1W Laser of a forum member.

I never had such a powerfull laser. I think I need goggles for it. Could you please help me by finding cheap but safe goggles for this laser.

They should ship to germany.

:D I had to.

Of course you need goggles with 2 Watt laser.
I hope you havent damaged your eyes yet..

Anyway those Eagle Pair is pretty good goggles.
Also I wouldnt never use words "safety goggles" and "cheap" in the same sentence...:na:

But nice laser, have fun, and be safe!

PS. It isnt MW, its mW.

Fuck. Why do you need this 2W laser?
That thing is extremely dangerous. You can get permanent blind spots from looking at the dot (on some objects). Just the scattered "blue" light emitted off of reflections indoors can cause the eye to have loss of sensitivity to the color green.
I also recommend the Eaglepair safety glasses. I have a few pairs from Zonestealth:
Multiple Wavelength
I think these multi-wavelength would be the way to go to protect your vision from your new laser. They are a bit darker in color than the ones at survival laser and may offer better protection for your 2W 445nm. They also protect from a bunch of other wavelengths (including IR-808nm->1064nm+ and green-532nm). A good investment if you plan on getting other colored lasers.
Some people would suggest the Dragon Lasers glasses here:

But I don't suggest them. They are great safety glasses, but feel too bulky/clumsy to me (when wearing).

I dont damaged my eyes because I dont have the 2,1W Laser yet.
I just bought it because I thought it could be fun to burn some things with it. I would never do something wrong with it.

Please wait for the safety glasses before using your laser indoors. You may accidentally injure yourself.

If I was you, I'd order Eagle pair now. It has pretty fast shipping.

I highly recommend those goggles tho I'm not too sure how they will do against 2W of 445 as my 445 was only about 700mW at the time of testing

These goggles in question are OD4 and have a transmittance of 0.01%, and this is
safe for this power (obviously not to look directly into beam), although some good
certified goggles can withstand a direct hit for a limited time, these are not designed for it.

MW is the abbreviation for Megawatts, instead mW is used for milliwatts :)

Mine scares me to be honest :eg: I don't use it much.

I usually just use my 3-mode 10440 laser that I got from Wannaburn. (80mW on low ;))

Those are certified... style 700 and 900 fit over glasses well. The vlt is a little lower than with the ones from survival.

If you can afford a 2W+ laser, you can afford the proper protection for your eyes.

Edit: Usually when I want to play around with a 445nm indoors, I use a c6 laser with a linear driver, and one 18650... ~120mW. 2W is just too much power indoors without goggles unless you happen to live inside a giant matte black box:p

@Dennis, just please remember those goggles will offer no protection between 470nm and 610nm...

Which means you do still needed another pair of goggles if you get high powered greens.

You're all set for blue and red though:)
