Please please update me if you get any of the XPL combiners, RG:Y preferably. I promise I will rep.

It's almost certainly next. I'll wait until they have their focusable 532 hosts, however, as I'd like one of those too. Might sell my current XPL 532 around that time.

I've always wanted a 532 that was over or around 500mw, and after seeing your review I went to purchase one but could not find it unfortunately. But that lead to me asking about stock on focusable hosts and man am I glad I did.

At first glance, XPL looks just like another laser company that makes outrageous claims. But after having a conversation with Xiaopeng at XPL, i can tell this company actually cares about the products they put out. He was very adamant about making sure his lasers output are not faked and that XPLs goal is selling quality lasers at a decent price.

I'm definitely waiting for their focusable 532s to come out. He told me he needed 40 days and that was (3) weeks ago. So hopefully soon!

I received Ricker's LPM today, and I bring good news!
I measured both lasers; the 532nm peaks at 642mW, and the 635nm peaks at 847mW. Both significantly overspec! If you need pictures I can post them, but I'm too lazy right now. :)

Awesome! Now to just wait a bit for some focusable hosted ones. :D

Dang that's a screaming deal on both those lasers!! I'm going to go crazy waiting for their focusable hosts after seeing those numbers. And I know XPL uses IR filters so having a 600mw+ 532 for that price is almost unheard of!

Oh, and regarding the focusable hosts, they told me they will have a LOT more features than that...

DongXi Peng: "I will add twinking, focusing, pattern head, password switch and pin for analogue modulation."

twinkling... maybe they will have pulsed operation! And analog modulation! This company gets more interesting every second.

Me too. I'm thinking we should get a group together ASAP for a group buy whenever the focusable hosts come out.

I'm kinda torn between 500mW and 1W though. Was planning a NUGM01T build, but the 1W is pretty close in price. Some of the cheaper stuff and the combined color lasers are awesome too.

Edit:

Gosh. Really want one if it won't be super expensive.

I was not aware of that. I only asked about having the option of focusing so that's good to know . That sounds cool to have all of that, but it sounds like it's going to be more expensive. Hopefully not too much. I just wanted the option to focus, if it gets too pricey I guess I could always rip the module out and throw it in a different host.

Password switch? Interesting..

All they told me is that the price will be "a few higher", however they can't give me any more details until the hosts are fabricated. I'm still very optimistic about the price!

It sounds like a GB might be a great idea. With all the new features it sounds like the price might be pretty steep. But who knows, we shall see.

I wanted to do a 520 build for a while, and bad too. But after learning about the process involved in creating 532 i've became very interested with that wavelength. Plus I love getting good deals, and XPL seems to have some pretty good deals. I don't know about the 2w 532 they have though, a little pricey for this guy lol :(

I can ask them about getting the 2W cheaper if you'd like. That one caught my eye too.

They seem like straight shooters so if he's saying few more than it can't be that much more. The price already is a great deal so a little more will just make it a little less of a great deal.. fingers crossed!

2 Watts of a DPSS beam is probably nothing short of spectacular in a pointer. Probably the best beam you could get in a portable package.

No way I could afford it without giving up on a few of my other hobbies and selling the gear. :(

1W and 1.5W are still pretty reasonable though. We'll have to see how the new prices work out. It might turn out that the older models are a lot cheaper when the new ones come out.

They said they only have 2 pieces of the old 500mW lasers, I just asked them about the 1W and 1.5W models and getting them at a discount.

Thanks Sta!

I was just looking at what I believe might be XPL's YouTube channel and found a video on a 445nm laser that looks to be in a very similar host to the 1W+ 532nm lasers: https://youtu.be/FHlSfDc9UyY

What's interesting about it is that the host is focusable. Does that mean the 1, 1.5, and 2W greens are already focusable? Anybody know?

No, Rivem, I think that's a semi-generic Chinese host with an extended battery tube. I've seen a few other companies selling that host too, just without the extension tube.
