Anyone who wants to see the correspondence I will be more than happy to post e-mail to them privately, you can make up your own mind. What other motive would I have!

I never accepted two shipments as I never received any!!!

Ask Stonetech to provide proof that:-

1/ They were sent

2/ That they were received by me.

I rest my case there is no proof and that’s my point and my warning, customers are gambling their money with as you cannot provide proof of the shipment or that it was ever received which it was not!!!

Sounds to me that Stonetech could be a person riding on a good reputation to cover a rip off here and there !!!

By Popular demand the correspondence. In e-mail (reverse order), scoll to bottom first

Hi Greg,
I still haven't received any parcels from you, it's been close to a month since you promised a package, if it is too difficult I would appreciate a refund, as my customer has now been now waiting for close to 4 months and has lost patience with me.

Thanks
John

John,

There is no way to track a package sent out via first class / air mail. I had one package returned yesterday due to lack of customs forms (which are NOT required for under 16 ounces- international law) so what I will do is this - I am due to receive more stock by Monday, and I will send out a nice package to you - I cannot afford to send it via EMS (the only overseas method that has tracking that is available to me) but it will go out ASAP - I am sorry that you seem to be picked upon by the mail service in this case...actually, we BOTH are. At any rate, I ALWAYS honor my obligations - you will receive your order, plus some "consolation" goodies.

Best Regards,
Greg Stoner

Hi Greg,
I still haven't received a single package, so that's two packages that have disappeared?
Any chance that you can follow up what is going on, you must have a receipt from the post office, if it is too much trouble give me the details of the receipts, dates and times and the post office, and I will follow it up.
Thanks
John

Hi Greg,
I appreciate your offer, and it is unfortunate for me as well as for you
that the goods never turned up.
I also have received all packages that I ever have ordered, till now. I
started purchasing via mail order when I was six in 1974, so that is
over 36 years, and have also been selling and purchasing hundreds of
items over e-bay and direct from sellers for over six years, and all
goods purchased or delivered have always arrived. So agree that it is
not the norm, but goods do get lost and is the reason why I always don't
mind paying a little extra by adding insurance, if offered that way the
Postal Service can provide the security and peace of mind you need when
you're sending a valuable items through the mail.

The goods you originally sent have still not arrived, but if they do I
will notify you and once again appreciate your complimentary offer to
keep them, that is most welcome. Although I must also state that it also
has been extremely frustrating to me and my client, as I have been
waiting to complete a project since my first order back on the
21/12/2009, and although the first order was received promptly, and even
though I followed every precaution, the Sony Diode Pre-Installed In
Aixiz Module (SLD1239JL Installed) I ordered did not perform as per
specifications, it worked but had an extremely low output.

Hence the reason for my second order on the 16th of January, I ordered
more to increase my chances of success. Around the same time I also
ordered electronic components from others and they have all arrived.
Hence the eager anticipation as my client has now been waiting more than
2 months for me to complete his prototype.

I humbly except your apology and understand that what occurred is beyond
your control and I will not hesitate from ordering from you again as I
understand it is just one of those things that unfortunately occurs from
time to time.

Kind Regards

John

John,

I will send another package, but cannot afford to double this one :( I
have
NEVER lost a package yet, with over three years of packages, with well
over
$10,000 worth of postage purchased (THAT is a LOT of stuff !), so I am
confident that one of us shall receive packages soon. With that in
mind,
please accept with my compliments, anything "extra" that shows up,
beyond
what you have ordered - do NOT return them to me, as that would be
tempting
fate, as it were. I cannot tell you how sorry I am that this has
happened,
only that I will attempt to make it right for you.

Best Regards,
Greg Stoner

Hi,
Thanks for your apology and for doubling the order which is truly
courteous
and greatly appreciated, but I still haven't received the goods, as it
has
been over a month since your e-mail, should I wait longer or do you
think it
has been lost, any ideas if it can be followed up in any way.

Thanks
John

the late shipping date. Between a hardware failure, and a hospital
stay,
everything was put on hold. Your order is being shipped today.

IF the above is really what happened, the it seems to be a VERY isolated case. Many people (Including myself) have had great dealings with greg.

Thanks wolfhunter1954,
I also received one other order previously with success, although it was late and Greg also apologised with excuses until it was received.

As they say, "The best place to hide a lie is between two truths. ..." What's the chances of three apparent deliveries getting lost!!

I don't even care about the loss of money, what I was really angry about was that he kept me hanging on as I believed I would receive the goods for a prototype I was making for a customer, in the end I lost a $900,000.00 contract to another company because of my lateness, so in the end Greg lost a Massive order as well.
Thanks a lot.

I'm over it now and was inspired to tell people the truth to warn them, with a hope that Greg may also improve his business by offering, postage insurance or at least be able to provide proof of delivery which he could not also do. This will help his business and protect the consumer as well.

There may also be other customers that also have had a similar experience that have not revealed themselves yet.

Cheers

Well said. I blame none of the two of you though. Greg did everything he could to get you satisfied. You posted proof and we appreciate that. However, why didn't you ask for EMS postage when you placed the order? Greg has not had any known issues with other members, so he might have used the regular postage method to lower the customer's fees.

Unlike the above, I have had EXTREMELY POOR dealings with STONETEK, and would like to warn people that Stonetek will accept your money, apologise for not sending goods with many excuses, then promise to make it up to you by sending extra, then will never send it, and ignore all your e-mail thereafter, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND, GOODS ARE EITHER LOST OR NOT SENT, STONETEK do not Provide any Postage insurance or tracking system, SO BUYING FROM STONETEK is a GAMBLE.

I think the above is somewhat bullshit. I don't mean to offend, but the last Greg did was offer poor dealing and how do you call his business a gamble?

I have not received packages from individuals(who run well known and reputable companies like Stonetek) as well, but never went to their feedback and call them a gamble. I'm just suggesting people to be more polite when it comes to issues with reputable companies. If an order has failed, it doesn't mean the company has to be blamed for "gamble". You understand that, don't you?

Anyway, did you receive any packages? I was confused with the last posts :yabbem:

Good luck- you are better off dealing with more reputable companies, or even e-bay has a better chance. Check out:- List of laser manufacturers - Laser Wiki

Your kidding right? My personal dealing with stonetek was amazingly awesome.

Seriously, if the guy goes to the effort of sending you your order MULTIPLE TIMES, and you still aren't getting them, then obviously you need to go do a checkup with your post office, as clearly they aren't doing their job. I too have had nothing but great service from Greg.

I disagree, Greg did not do everything "he could to get me satisfied" as you suggest, otherwise I would not be warning others.
I offered extra money for a more secure method of transport, this was ignored, I did not receive any goods, I did not receive my money back, my e-mails were then ignored, hardly satisfying!!
To further explain:-

I am in Australia EMS postage was not offered if you refer to the dialogue, I did ask Greg "and is the reason why I always don't mind paying a little extra by adding insurance, if offered that way the Postal Service can provide the security and peace of mind you need when you're sending a valuable items through the mail" Greg's response was "I cannot afford to send it via EMS (the only overseas method that has tracking that is available to me) but it will go out ASAP" so he ignored my request and told me that he sent it.

What I don't understand is that Greg says he apparently sent the Goods three times ignoring my request for extra security, and then says that he received a package back once.

Which is why I call it a gamble to answer silvershots remark, I asked for a secure method of postings and even was willing to pay extra.
To answer personal Guy dude and Things comments, up till now since 1974 when I was a kid I also have sent and received 1000's of items, not one item lost, I have a whole lab decked out with equipment from all over the world, the only items I never received were two supposedly sent packages from Stonetek, rather suspicious wouldn't you say? Therefore I can hardly call the post office accountable, sounds suspiciously to me like something to do with Stonetek.

So in another response to Personal Guy Dude, you're lucky you had good dealings, as Greg was so rude he even stopped replying to my e-mails. In summary two packages lost, no money refunded, ignored request for better postage method or insurance even when I offered to pay extra, doesn't reply to emails, I hardly call that reputable!!!!!!!!
