I'll will be sending this laser to Lazeerer on thursday/friday, for his custom driver... so we'll have a more expert opinion on this laser as a whole soon I think;)

Max (person)?
or back to the company?
post back on the results! :)
btw what extra features does the custom driver have?
modes?, more power?

LPF member Lazeerer not Lazerer.com...

I think his custom driver has 3 modes, not sure though.

Lazerer.com is also working on a multimode 2.0 version though. No ETA as of right now.

I expect that this laser is selling quite well, so it could be a while before we see major changes.

I'm mainly interested in the multimode driver;)

The stock laser performs well...

I don't think the lens is as big a problem as we originally thought.

yeah, having a 50mw "low" mode will be both fun and safe and then "med" for 600mw and then "high" 1W

I'm not really that into "low" modes per say.

The most interesting thing about this laser, and what amazed me... diffraction grating tips on a humid night. It looks incredible to see dozens of beams shoot into the sky on a humid night. So mainly I want some more power.

I might also sacrifice or at least reduce the ability to focus in favor of a little weatherproofing to this laser. basically everything can be sealed imho except for the focusing part.

9/16/11 Update:

Second Mini Arctic also uses a crappy acrylic lens:(

The driver is decent though.

Re: Rifle Host (Arctic Lookalike) 445nm 800mW from Lazerer.com Side by Side with Arct

^^^That's a good idea:beer:

One thing that annoys me is the design of the way the pattern heads are attached... there is no direct contact to the part that screws in from the outside, only from the tension from inside the pattern head itself.

I would much rather have zero friction in the pattern head, but be able to screw in the pattern head tightly.

I love that circle pattern.. looks incredible outside in the dark when it's humid...

The star effect pattern is also incredible with this laser as is... on a bunch of trees it looked amazing, but imagine if there was near zero friction and you can spin it really fast:eg:

Is that rifle you got focusable?Because i am thinking of buying this:RIFLE650nm - 200mW Focusable Burning Red Laser

And i think in the site says that all the rifle lasers are focusable. What do you think?

You have answered your own question...

Q) is the Rifle Laser Focusable ???

A) RIFLE650nm-200mW Focusable Burning Red Laser.

A) the site says that all the rifle lasers are focusable.

It seems that they have upgrade the lens

I asked max a short while ago which lens it contains. It is still the same acrylic lens as before. Max said he uses a riffle for a year now and still does not have any problems with the lens.

So i gues it is still the same. I hope i get my riffles this week so i can check and review the custom setting max provided me with.

Anybody can sell me a G1 lens? Want to put it in one riffle

Greetings

^^^LMAO... Thanks for filling in guys:)

Btw, my red rifle host laser should be coming shortly, I'll post power reading on it whenever my own power is back up(been without power at home since saturday morning). I did ask Max about it, supposed to be using an acrylic as well.
