Default Review: YourLasers (DX) 50mW Green Laser Pen!

Hello!

So this is my first review ever and I guess, my first good post on LPF. I'm sorry for being a noob and asking questions, but I was told to search the forum but I didn't know what to search for so yeah..

Oh well, I purchased one of YourLasers.com (Former DX) 50mW green laser pen and I received it yesterday. It was shipped on 22nd of September and it was here in Sweden at the third of October and two hours later in the pickup place (guess we have a fast working mail service). And I picked it up yesterday.

What I loved about it is that it is soooo bright! I have never owned a green laser before and it was so cool! Comparing to my other lasers, which is a 30mW red laser from them it's so nice! I can see the beam really well, daylight and nighttime but unfortunately my camera doesn't pick it up.

And green looks so much cooler IRL then it does on cameras - for sure! I love it!

And if you want my opinion, I think it's stronger then 50mW but this is me saying it with only a 30mW red laser in comparsion. I don't even know if that red laser was 30mW, it could have been 10mW and my green 20mW and therefore me believing its overpowered but yeah!

Okay, so I loved this laser. It felt heavy, you got in a nice box with batteries so it's ready to use out of the box, a instruction paper, momentary push button.

Pros:
- Everything except for one thing

Cons:
- The threads are a little hard, could use some lube.

Okay, now for the pictures!

It came in this package, it's shred apart now but yeah..

Declared as a light pen, with the real value.

The box it came in

How to use manual:

Picture of the opened laser:

It looked as if there was some tomato sauce spilled inside.. Don't know if the camera picked it up:

Size comparision:

Hard threads:

Security sticker:

Negative side battery goes down:

Laser on shot:

A shot of the dot:

So I put the hottest water on in my shower to make the bathroom foggy, and that takes forth the beam a lot!

Picture outside, dunno if the dot is visible:

Conclusion:

For that price, around $18, it's a really good laser. And the beam is visible! That's the thing I love about it! However the camera doesn't pick it up unless it's foggy.

Feels heavy in your hands, I had it on for six minutes and nothing happened! I love it.

That being my first green laser, I also have another two lasers on my way, one 200mW blue dilda and one 200mW red from Lazerer.

I did NOT have safety goggles during this movie even though it did hurt my eyes in the beginning and I also closed my eyes at close dot shots, risk of reflection etc. I only watched it when at long distance and there was no risk of reflection hitting my eye. So this is a really strong laser!

For my other lasers coming to Sweden, I have two goggles also.

So fast shipping and everything and a recommended laser! Go for it!

All pictures taken with Samsung Galaxy S2.

Thanks for reading!

I guess this could be beneficial to the op as well.

Using image shack at the front page you can choose "Image Resize:". Choose the size you want, I think 800x600 is good but if you want to go larger by all means.

After the images have been uploaded, look for "Forum Code" and copy and paste that into the reply box. Should look something like this if you upload 1 image:

HTML Code:
[URL=http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/img8996.png/][IMG]http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/7378/img8996.png[/IMG][/URL]

Uploaded with [URL=http://imageshack.us]ImageShack.us[/URL] << Can remove this
If you upload multiple on the right hand side there is a drop down box. Select "BB codes" then copy and paste. To make it the "normal" size go and edit out the ".th" in the url:

Unedited will look like this
HTML Code:
[URL=http://img850.imageshack.us/i/img8997.png/][IMG]http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/9162/img8997.th.png[/IMG][/URL]
Edited will be big
HTML Code:
[URL=http://img51.imageshack.us/i/img8999.png/][IMG]http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/5255/img8999.png[/IMG][/URL]
Or another way to do it is to copy the links in "Direct link" and manually add:
[img] url [/img]

Copy and paste is your friend

HTML Code:
[img]http://img850.imageshack.us/img850/9162/img8997.png[/img]
[img]http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/5255/img8999.png[/img]
I'm sure there are probably easier ways but this is the way that I do it

Hope it helps and also hope I understood what you were talking about haha

Okay. I resized all the pictures now and changed the youtube video so it should all be working now!

Blakegriffing, I don't know why that happens to you! Can it have something to do with your camera?

And also, please excuse my english in the YouTube video.

And, lastly, any estimations on what power output that is?

I was about to call you crazy for using it in a restroom without goggles, but then you said you shut your eyes. Still risky though!

Please try and burn something black, with goggles or eyes shut lol.
