REVIEW- Tiny yobresal build 550mw 5mode - by realista

hi. I recently bought a laser from yobresal……this is my FIRST:drool: 445nm laser and I’m going to write my personal review

I saw for the first time the laser here…. And yobresal has been very helpful to give me every information I asked him.
The price is 125$ but he offered me to pay 100$:angel:+ shipping( 25$ to italy fast shipment) do to a review.

SHIPPING TIME

It took only less than 1 week to arrive to italy…. And that’s very good. Italy is well known to have LONG SHIPPING TIMES and a very restrictive customs. :thinking:

SIZE OF LASER and battery used

It’s precisely 10cm long and 21mm wide(diameter). This is a VERY LITTLE build…… that I can take everywhere with me!!!! It uses a 14500 lion battery(protected)

HOW DOES THE LASER FIGURE?

It’s a silver host……. And I think silver hosts are the most preferite of 80% of users….
But the host does have some special features I really like to see.
It has 3 glow in the dark green pieces . 1 piece is the lense cover. 2nd piece is in the central body of the host…. including 3 circular green rings…..and 3rd piece is the On/Off rubber button….

If I charge them with solar rays… or a 405nm light.. they’ll glow for some time….

POWER TEST (thanks to arayan’s LPM , a member that I discovered to live at about 40 km by me. I met him 2 times unfill now)

Yobresal wrote in the thread the laser has this power :
This laser is 5-mode. High 550mW, Med 260mW (pulsed), Low 70mW (pulsed), Strobe, And SOS

In this moment I can’t meet the member arayan to test the laser, but we should meet in September.

CONCLUSIONS
I’m very satisfied with the purchase……yobresal seems to be a very honest boy and a good DIY assembler/producer :gj:
The beam is very visible…… and It ‘s only 550mw. I can’t imagine how can be to have 1.2w….. but I think there shouldn’t be so much diference….
The PRO of this laser is that I can use it ad 260mw and 70mw for safety use….. if ‘m near other people.:gh:
I know a 1/1.2w produces a better beam… but in terms of PORTABILITY….this laser is perfect. :bowdown: Something that will be often in my pants!!!

Inserisci le figure nel thread con "go advanced" (jpeg 800X600), poi fai preview post e visualizza le figure su un'altra scheda del browser, quindi copia l'indirizzo delle figure e usa img /img nel post originale a me ha sempre funzionato.

maybe between 1 year ..... i could buy another 445nm build... if someone can build my PERFECT laser:

1) that can accept 5 in 1 effect in the front head
2) that uses 3 mode at 1500mw , 800mw , 200mw
3) that can have supplemental MOMENTArY on button on the side of the host
4) medium size SILVER host, powered by 18650.

i think this is "THE" best 445nm biuld that a person would desire to own.

this is my dream........for a 445nm laser.

All of that is doable right now. You would have to compromise on output and side momentary switch maybe... but there are people on here who can build that.

Basically that's what I'm thinking of doing with my arctic mini

1)why to compromise about power? it's also ok 1.2w... but just to do a little higher than the "average" power.... i said 1.5w that i think is of if there is a nice commer heatsink and some medium/high efficient diodes.

2) the momentary swith........ is a think that a lot of users do requre or dream, trust me. to have BOTH button... the bach on/off AND the side momentary is THE DREAM OF much people.

3)if a buildew WNAT to to a perfect laser.... must use a nice silver host........ and let's use the BEAST with a total of 3 mode. if the highest is about 1500.... i assume the mediom can be 800mw.... and the lowest 200mw about.

4) the only one think that the laser does rewire.... is a front hole, with precise threads, which accept CLASSIC AND CHEAP "5in1" efects (maybe to only use with 800mw or 200mw)

THAT'S ALL.............................
theeeeeeeeeeeese are all the features existing......... and the perfect build is the build that have all of these things. I THIK I DON'T FORGET ANYTHING.

i thought to use 3 coulored leds, under the soft rubber on the end of the host (the ON/off button.........) that are regulates by 3 voltages.
..first voltage between 4.2 and 3.8 light the BLUE led, between 3.8 and 3.6v the green led
and under 3.6v the RED led.....

i know that it could be a difficult implementation....... but i'ma "justa dreamer"....... and all of you are the MAKER OF OUR DREAMS. :drool:

Lol. Of course ALL of it is doable, but the reason why I said you might have to compromise on power ranges is if you want to use already present drivers, as opposed to making a new driver. The total output of 1.5W is not an issue at all. It's getting the other two modes to be exactly 800mW and 200mW would be hard.

As for side clicky... you would need a custom host, but aside from that, there is nothing difficult in the implementation.

The difference in the minor compromises will mean quite a bit of a difference in price, so as you say... you are a dreamer, but to paraphrase lennon.. you're not the only one

ahhhhhhhh but 800mw and 200mw are examples............. but i think medium ower could be about half power.. and low power.... a nice power to use indoor ........

Awesome you make me want one now, and i bet its well worth it..
