Rayfoss 30mW 532nm modules

I ordered 5x 30mW 532nm modules from Rayfoss (click for the product link)

Packaging:
great packaging: multiple layers of shock proof bubblewrap, strong envelop, every module is packaged separate

Shipping:
not super bad, not super good: the standard delivery time from china to Belgium (+-9 days)
labeling was good as "electronic sample" (and "gift" was also mentioned)

Modules:
I ordered these modules for a small experiment and needed modules in green as small as possible (as these are only 9mmx25mm compared to the 12mmx60mm for the 50mw version)
I ordered them with the wires pre soldered, soldering was ok, wires a bit thin and short (I will change them later)
The pot was 'sealed' with a drop of removable glue.
Optics are removable (nicely finished threads)
Tested them and got these results: 26mW, 28mW, 28mW, 31mW, 34mW and at this price I am satisfied with this range
Beams are nice and thight (when I compare them with other pointers I have with divergences I know) I estimate them to be 1.3 to 1.4 mrad

Communication:
Contacting Rayfoss is a dream: they reply in less than 24 hours (often withing 6 hours) always very polite with lots of detail and technical info.

Conclusion:
Great service, great product and price. O-like has a concurrent lol

Nice review! I can't believe all of those modules were within 10mW of each other, with most of these "cheap" modules the power from module to module labeled as the same output can have huge differences in power.

Post some pics when you get a chance. Preferably beam shots.

Three of the five lasermodules died today , within a few minutes from each other!
They were all hoeked (all 5) to the same 3V accu pack (modules on the fingers of my laser glove, battery pack inside it), the other 2 are still in prefect condition. Since from the start I hooked them all together, they have the same 'lasertime' (about 2 hours now)
So this makes me think the 3 dead modules had some kind of technical defect in them, as they died in the same time frame.

I contected Rayfoss to see how we can solve this and will keep you guys up2date.

IIRC, it is bad for the drivers to hook them in series (or parallel for that matter) to a common power source without another driver or regulator inline - can someone help me find the post I'm referring to? (I tried searching to no avail, the setup in question was 4 LOC with Flexdrives, and there was a 5th flex inline between the multiple-driver setup and the power source, I believe there were PBS cubes involved, also)...

Running them paralel of a single battery pack should be fine - all of them have individual drivers to regulate current. Running them in series might be a bad idea, but thats not the case here.

It's curious 3 of them died so short after eachother... do they still draw the same electrical current as the functional ones? If not, it could be an electrical defect (driver maldesign).
