I got my rayfoss 1watt in today. I stuck the 18650 batteries in but it doesn't turn on. I messaged them about it and they replied to try again with the cr123 batteries.... they havnt arrived yet but it looks like ill be waiting longer to test however I do think its already dead T.T

Dang man that really sucks. I hope its a battery issue and not a laser issue.
Did you get the same host? Is yours waterproof? The laser in this review isnt waterproof but they were saying they could make it waterproof.

Yes I it the same model and nonwaterproof. I'm also hoping its not an issue with the laser submitting an rma will be a pain.

Im not sure if it does.. either way im certain i didnt put the batteries in facing the wrong direction.. they gave specific directions to have the batteries + end facing the tail cap.

Do we know if this laser has reverse polarity protection?

Im sure it doesnt. I was told in emails not to put the batteries in backwards. And sorry im not going to try it lol, not that anyone asked.

Here is a beam shot of the Rayfoss 1W vs a 200mw green gatlin laser.
Its a big beam with that line dot...

I didnt get the laser yet, I will only get the 200mW green after Christmas since some money will be going to my vriac and some high votlage things.
Will be plenty to start me off since the most powerful green laser I have had was an under rated 50mW green from ebay.

It depends wether you want green or blue :shhh:
I know, I don't understand the specs really well but..
I just want a beam, focusable, it must burn and it must have a line at night..

I know its not the right thread to ask but Its the subject so.

I'd go for blue, it will burn better.
It has a line at night right?

Edit : Like on the picture

-----------

I think Ima buy the blue one.
Got one 200mW green one already, i broke it while i was cleaning it.

And blue looks awesome.

Absolutely yes. Blue is less visible compared to blue at the same power .. but we don't talk less power here.
On the other hand, blue is more dangerous at same brightness .. because it has more power. 300mW green is class IIIb laser .. 1W blue is class IV.
