Yesterday I received my ordered 100mW PPL laser together with AL2 safety goggles. As it's not the first time this laser is reviewed, I'll keep the story short but throw in some nice pictures.
The package was shipped 27 may and arrived at the Netherlands at 2 june according to USPS track & trace and finally arrived at my home 11 june. The holdup turned out to be Dutch customs: I had to pay around €70,- to the mailman for customs duty, VAT and customs cost.
The laser was professionally packed in a box with foam chips, wrapped in a meter of bubble wrap and inclosed in a sticker sealed anti-static bag. The goggles were in the same box, in their carrying case. The goggles are manufactured by NoIR, just like my WL sport elites for red.
The laser came with the following:
- 2 safety keys
- 1 short-circuited audio jack (can be replaced for a modified jack with a remote switch if desired)
- clear operating instructions and specifications
- 10 minute power test graph with 1000+ samples
- limited warranty
Graph of the 10 minute test (alkaline batteries used):

For this laser I already purchased 2x GP powerbank 3500mAh rechargeable C cell batteries. I put the batteries in and tried the laser. Perfect TEM00 mode, very bright spot and noticeable beam indoors at daylight.
Only one discrepancy: when I unscrewed the battery cap later that evening in order to charge the batteries a part of the thread somehow got damaged. I'm pretty sure I didn't screw the cap on crooked, but still it got damaged somehow. I had the thread remade by the technical department at my work today, now it screws just fine. I also did a 60 second power measurement with the Newport optical power meter with fully charged batteries:
Pretty impressive for a 100mW imho. Compared to the alkalines the GPs seem to give a power boost.
Now for some pictures:
